   I just bought a necklace, and it’s only been a month, but the price has already dropped by 40%. I feel really frustrated. I won’t dare to buy here again — both the pricing and the service are unacceptable. I bought the necklace, and at the time I was told that I would receive a $75 voucher, which I could only use the next day. I even picked out an $85 necklace right then. When I went back the following weekend, the staff told me she didn’t know how to use the voucher. When I went again another weekend, I was told that the voucher could only be used if I spent at least $200. I felt strongly deceived. Later, I went to the store at The Base, and the staff there said the voucher could be used with a minimum spend of $75.

   If you are considering Michael Hill, proceed with extreme caution. My recent experience revealed a complete breakdown in service and integrity on three levels: 1. Deceptive Pricing: After purchasing in-store, I found the exact item advertised for a lower price on their own website. Staff dismissed this as an "IT issue" and refused to match the price or offer a solution. 2. Damaged Product: I waited for a "new" ring to be shipped from Head Office. When I went to collect it (having received zero notification it had arrived), the ring was clearly scratched. The staff member actually tried to downplay the damage, claiming it "wouldn't be noticeable," and refused a replacement. 3. The Runaround: Another branch had a perfect version of the ring but refused to facilitate an exchange, passing the buck back to the original store. I was left emotionally drained by the lack of care and forced to refund the purchase. They wasted my time and attempted to sell me damaged jewellery at an inflated price. NOTE TO MICHAEL HILL MANAGEMENT: Do not reply to this review with a generic "we are sorry, please contact us" template. I have already sent a formal complaint to your Customer Service team via email. The store team had multiple opportunities to fix this in person and chose not to. I am waiting for a substantive response to my email, not a PR comment here.

   Absolutely amazing service. Ray was really knowledgeable and got to know me and my partner from how we met to how long we were together and actually seemed interested in our story. Got to try on so many amazing rings and he has even organised to get a ring from another store for me to try on. Was a fun experience:)

   Amazing experience! I’d like to thank Riana and Tony for their exceptional help in finding the perfect wedding band for me and my fiance . We had an issue with the ring size not being available, and i were told it could take around 4 weeks or more to get it. But somehow, they managed to find the right size, and it will arrive this week! Such a professional team and service beyond expectations. This was my first time shopping here, and it definitely won’t be the last. Thank you so much

   We had a very unpleasant behaviour from a staff. She was not welcoming and we were bit disturbed on her behaviour. We love this brand and want to teach your staff how to behave to a customer. Won’t be visiting the centre place, Hamilton branch again.

   Got served by Alice here and she was amazing! Really friendly, hospitable and knowledgeable about the engagement rings my friend were looking to purchase as well. Very helpful with sorting out the payments as well. I’d come here again to shop :)
