SUSHi WORLD runs with a Japanese‑leaning menu and an easy pace. Service stays present without fuss. Broths and noodles keep good heat and snap. Plates offer plenty without weighing things down. Value feels fair for the quality.
I’m not kidding when I say this, it was the worst sushi I’ve had. The rice was dry and falling apart. The chicken looked so slimy. This is the first review I’ve done so take that into consideration it was so bad I’ve gone out my way to write how bad it was!
I come here very often and love it! Great little sushi place, I’m really perplexed by the few bad reviews, they must have had new staff or something on those days because it’s always been brilliant for me and I’ve been known to be quite particular. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Pricing is honestly not so bad. No tuna actual flavour, some of the nigiri's rice was hard, some were soggy. Came around 2pm. Rice should be same consistency. Just across the road and go to other sushi place.
This was the worse sushi I’ve had in my whole life. Who puts roast chicken with no sauce in a sushi roll. Taste awful would recommend going to fresh choice to enjoy their bakery range instead. I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE EVER!!!!!
I am free to choose my favorite sushi and I can choose from all kinds of sushi. Good service!

Cute wee sushi place located in the Merivale mall. Pick what you like and pay at the check out. They scan MVP at check out. They h as be sushi ball and sushi sandwich too. Interesting place.
Lovely nigiri but I purchased a rice ball for my husband to have 30 mins later at home.... very strange whole chicken thigh not cut up and yuck quality, actually inedible. A real shame as this has been my fave sushi shop in Chch for many years...today just seemed like no care at all had gone into the rice ball.
