Went in with clear cold and flu symptoms and got treated like a drug addict. Last thing you need when feeling sick.

A regular client of Excelsa Pharmacy for the past three years, it is time for me to leave a positive review, on the back of some of the negative commentaries I have read. I can vouch that the personnel at Excelsa Papamoa Sands is great at 95% - yes, you may encounter that one staff member who is not as engaging and friendly as the others, but rather than focussing on ‘Misery’, I prefer to focus on the rest of the team who are absolutely awesome. The Pharmacists are always busy and deliver a service that is accurate, rapid, and professional. They will also step from behind the dispensary to come and talk with a client and/or assist the front desk when they are busy. Then we have the front counter/retail team, and in that team are some exceptional people - unfortunately I cannot remember all their names, however, one person stands out in my book and I would try and get served by her every time I go there. Her name is Tayla. Tayla is always smiling, friendly, very professional and will go out of her way to assist you and find exactly what you are looking for. Tayla is an asset to this business and she has a great future within the industry. So if you do go to Excelsa Pharmacy, keep an eye out for her. Finally, you, as a client/patient, remember you’ll get out what you put in, in other words, if you are grumpy, not smiling, rude, and generally not a nice person, don’t expect the members of the staff to be pleasant back. Sure they will try, but it is up to you, the client, to also be pleasant, and if they’re not greeting you the moment you walk in, realise that they may be busy and even though you are important, the world is not peripheral to your belly button, so, smile, be patient, and see the impact it has on others.

Best pharmacy! I was served by three of the loveliest ladies and received some of the best customer service I’ve had in a while. Thank you all so much

There’s an atmosphere of “I don’t give a toss” in this pharmacy particularly from one with a name tag which reads “retail manager“. I’ve had to hold my tongue from responding out of anger with her on several occasions she is just rude and unpleasant to me. have moved doctors and won’t be visiting again. I do not recommend.

I am writing this review on behalf of my husband, it’s not often he will tell me about an excellent shopping experience, but he did this time. So on that note, he is not a reviewer so I thought i needed to, as we sometimes forget easily about the little things that make our day. I was away and we needed necessities for our trip overseas. This is his breakdown, went in close to closing time, still very busy, got the things we needed easily(actually brought more, “too many good deals” he said!) lovely service from the lady at the counter(hair was up), who apologised for being busy with customers and not being able to help him(he was impressed) he noted its nice to not be jumped on in a pharmacy, he will go back again(without me) I said ‘’well my job is done!” Thankyou to Unichem Excelsa pharmacy.

My experience of this chemist is always really disappointing. I find the staff unfriendly and on a number of occasions have had a staff member role their eyes at me. The one positive I can find is that it is very convenient if you live in Papamoa east, however other than that I dread needing to collect my child’s scripts from here.

Going into this pharmacy is never enjoyable staff do not smile and will often continue to whisper and have conversations while you are standing in front of them! And even when you have managed to get the staffs attention the tone of voice is very unpleasant. I know jobs can be not fun at times but it’s retail! Atleast pretending to be somewhat interested in providing customer service would be a huge upgrade. Not a big reviewer but have been in multiple times and same reception
