Excellent and honest staff. Took in a weed eater that I thought was broken. Staff called me a couple of hours later saying it was good to go and because no parts were needed refunded my deposit. Will definitely be back if needed. Thanks guys
Great fast service. Ordered the new makita dtd173 impact driver on line. It's arrived at my place in warkworth 2 days later. Very impressive service. Wow... what a beast. Best impact driver on the market. Great job guys. Keep up the good work. Merry Christmas to you guys.
Beware if ordering online. TPC dispatched online item within 24 hours, however the courier company they use is very slow and unhelpful. Tracking is available but it just shows your item sitting undelivered in a depot. Contacted TPC but their attitude is we have dispatched it so not our problem.
I needed a Makita line hole, part no DA00000644 for an er2600l whipper snapper. Makita online by email, told me you had to replace the whole head. Power Tools (Tauranga) confirmed this and ordered the part. When I went to pick it up it was the wrong part. The staff at Power Tools helped me discover that. A replacement part was ordered as well as brush cutter fittings (which are wrong, don't fit and is seriously dangerous to use.) When I went to pick it up, I was told petrol Makita devices were not serviced - fortunately, I had a text message inviting me to come get the bits. Now I have spent approx $160 with Power Tools to discover the original Makita line hole fitting can be bought online for $10 plus freight. I have a new and an old line trimmer head, a brush cutting attachment which does not fit and is lethal, potentially and of no use. How would you rate Power Tools and Makita NZ services based on this? Personally - not a happy chappie!! I have a very negative view of the Makita parts service capability and feel just a little ripped off.
