   Took 1&1/2 hours to find someone to let us in! We arrived at 5.40pm. Room was clean, warm & quite well equipped

   You pay for what you get, rooms are tired and worn out. But worst of all was the noise from other guests all night. Stay here as a last resort.

   My nephew stayed here. He left for a week and when he came back th cleaners had stolen his property. When he confronted owners, they said they had new cleaning contract and won't take responsibility. Scumbags

   Rooms need work windows upstairs need safety latches, cleaners need to clean rooms daily, change linen and give fresh towels daily,and toilet paper like a motel would normally. Furniture needs replacing,couches have no legs table legs are crooked flimsy and falling apart.

   Photos need updated as it doesnt look as bad in certain rooms and has been changed alot since the last reviews ...I wouldn't recommend this for people whom are looking somewhere nice to stay but it's good for emergency accommodation considering its a roof over ur head

   We stayed here for E.H. Myself, my partner, our 2 year old & our 4 month old. Not family friendly at all. Parties, loud music, yelling at 4am. A lot of drug activity in front of everyone. Like no one cares. The room we had (19) stunk like cigarettes. Our clothes, personal blankets & pillows, pretty much EVERYTHING got the the smell stuck to it. The room had blood on the carpets. The blankets were clearly dirty. The shower door was hanging off. The microwave was balancing on a chair & we were worried that our 2 year old would accidentally knock it off so we brought a table ourselves for it (we took it when we left). It’s clear that the owners only care about the money they get from Winz. They don’t invest in cleaning up or maintenance. We moved motels after a week & it was the best decision ever!

   Our first stay here was diabolical... (we are unfortunitly in emergency houseing), we appreciate the option of emergency housing, but not the afflictions this particular motel has burdened us with... Our daughter got infested with bed bug bites, These bites were so severe we had to seek medical care for our daughter, And we also complained about the smell of urine and facial matter that had taken over our breathing space in the room we were appointed... This invasive smell was a broken pipe beside our room that was hidden from public veiw but not our senses. We complained daily for 4 days to no avail.it wasnt until day 5 that some one came to look at it AFTER I WROTE A REVEIW. The manager of the lease came down and and finally offered us a different room buy this time we had found a new placement and had MEDICAL SUPPORT as to why we should be moved which we did... UNFORTUNITLY we have been placed back here at Te Rapa Motel after haveing stays at other motels with (no issues)... BUT "(as soon)" as we arrived we noticed that either a person or dog had relieved there bowels of a large obstruction at the bottom of the only usable stair case leading to our room, then some one has walked into it and proceeded to walk and contaminate the only stair case and only balcony leading to our room with the facial matter... I told the manager (Kim) of the issue and she walked away as if i was invisible... my self and partner have cleaned as much as we could with a boiled jug and my partner also went imeadiatly to the manager and expressed our concerns AGAIN but this has also been ignored... so I can not encourage or advise people to come stay here unless you want to be ignored and ripped off ... if I didn't have my daughter, Myself and my partner would be sleeping in our car, And we would "(NEVER)" stay at this Unmanaged, Unhygienic, Slum of a unestablished establishment... I would not rated this motel but I had to give it 1 star to post my reveiw if I was to give my honest rating due to the way I feel if been ignored on all the issues iv brought to management while been here it would be rated in the "(negative 3)" category as it's a DIVE... And should be renamed Te Rapa slums motel...
