I came here with my partner few years ago it was so good, I visited again today and there was no customer in the store (used to be really busy). I ordered my mince&cheese pie and they charge me almost $8 and it sucked, it wasn’t mince&cheese it just mince&onion. Will never come back again awful
Often buy iced latte here. The coffee tastes ok, but the pricing is confusing and inconsistent. The menu shows $9.9 for a small iced oat latte (including $1 extra for oat milk and an extra $2.9 just for ice), which is unusually high compared to other cafés. Even more confusing, my partner has sometimes been charged $7 or $8.9 for the exact same drink, while I’m always charged $9.9. It would be great if the pricing and charges for extras could be made clearer and more consistent.
What has happened to Kitchen Republic's high quality service and food in the past year? I was surprised to see no customers at 12.30pm Monday. I was impressed with the appearance of cabinet foods offered. However, the pie I bought to take away was luke warm on the outside and cold inside. I took one bite immediately outside the shop, walked back in and suggested the warmer may not be hot enough, asked for the pie to be re-heated. I was told it was hot enough. The "re- heated" pie was hot on the top, still cold inside and bottom. Surely the staff would have noticed the temperature both times? This was a $7.50 mince pie, not cheap. No apology. I've never wanted to throw away a pie before. Please restore attentive service, respect for the customer and pride in your food.
I paid $20 for Mince on toast with a poached egg. My plate came out with about a tablespoon of mince and it just covered a piece of the ciabata toast. Was very disappointed and couldn't believe I'd paid $20 for it!!!! Not happy and we won't be back .
I normally love bacon, egg and cheese bagels but I’m not quite sure what it was with this one, but it didn’t have the flavors I was expecting. Also the iced coffee was fine but I would’ve preferred a little sweeter. Service was relatively fast though, and they do have nice variety.
Great coffee every day! The dine in food is delicious and packaged slices and biscuits to go are always so yummy!
Small friendly cafe nice food and coffee. They allow me to hang my framed prints on the wall for sale with a small commission fee. Communication is excellent. Thank you so much Alex Hunter
Only discovered this place a month ago and we love it! Reasonably priced tasty food, especially the toasted sandwich, and great coffee with the blue diamond almond milk, which is the only one that's nice in hot coffee. Always fantastic, fast service. A hidden treasure
Very friendly staff, great customer service. Only took them 2 minutes to make my order! Coffee itself had good milk but the 'double shot' of espresso was a little watered down, could have let the creamer run a little bit longer - practically decaff. Asthetic rustic theme, and opens earlier than most. Coffee was overpriced, granted - they do use EcoCups. Would be nice to have the option to choose between eco and regular cups. Will try their coffee again soon, and see if there's any change in quality.
Well hello you little gem. I did not know this place existed until this morning. We had parent teacher interviews and was ahead of schedule so we stopped off. The first thing I noticed was the amazing cabinet food wow!!! Home made pies amazing assortment of savoury bagels and there sweets looked just like nana use to make. The staff were lovely and very efficient and I rated their coffee lots of places have nice food and not so god coffee but these guys were in the money. We had a cooked breakfast and it would have to be one of the best in town. I will be back for sure excellent food and very popular looking at the amount of people coming and going
