   Service was slow and took a while to receive food. Food portions were great. Food was very tasty. The cocktail menu was great and loved the white tiger. My own fault, I didnt check the spice level of the Korean chicken and took one bite and it was too much for me (im ok with some spice, but that was fire) no mention. Of it been spicy on menu, just it was cooked in a glaze, having g had Koeran chicken recently and it been more a soy glaze I was picturing that. But the server graciously took the meal of the bill as I could not eat it (which I did appriciate) but other than that, the Sushi was great. Will return.

   With warm welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff, we absolutely enjoyed our evening dinner at terrace table! They’ve got a variety of unique drinks and we loved Sakura martini ;) all foods we tried were fantastic too. We definitely come back again :)

   The staff are attentive, your water glass is regularly refilled & the foods is excellent. The food is beautifully presented & tastes as good as it looks. Making it a great experience for both your eyes & your taste buds. We were having such a lovely evening that I forgot to take any photos of the food, so you will just have to come & experience it for yourself.

   Definitely recommend you try Umami. Heard about this place through a friend so thought we would give it a try and were not disappointed. The food tastes fantastic - great portion sizes for sharing our just for yourself. The wait staff are polite and know what they are serving so able to answer questions and advise. The decor is awesome, and the chairs are super comfortable. We'll worth roast visits. Update 25/1/23: continues to maintain excellent food and service. Butter chicken dumplings delicious and the go to dessert is the chocolate wontons - definitly a recommendation. Update 25/523: no reason to change stars. Since our first meal here, the did has been consistently good. The menu has changed a bit, maintaining the regional inspiration. The deep cried eggplant, light and deficits with a bit of zing, yellow curry with enough to be shared between two. The other aspect that has been maintained is the staging and decor - staff are great and I love the design, lighting and wooden tiles. And the chairs are still really comfortable.

   Love this place & the tempura cauliflower!! A little disappointed that the scallops were no longer on the menu, but the kingfish & prawn were delish! Great place to go as a couple or with a group as the dishes are made to share - my kind of way to dine!

   Absolutely amazing food. Flavours are insane and so good getting a bit of everything and sharing it. The beef bulgogi was delicious, the beef wontons, bok choy and chicken kaarage were yummy starters! Good size portions you won't leave hungry! Definitely one of my favourite restaurants I have been to in Tauranga.
