   This morning I took my stick vacuum into Godfreys to be sent away (for a fee) to investigate why it wasn’t working. The man I spoke to pulled the machine apart and found a couple of stones blocking vital parts and said that was the problem. When I asked him how much I owed for his time he said ‘nothing.’ What amazing service.

   Today my day was made when I went into the Godfreys in Tristram street! My vacuum hadn’t been working properly so I took it in expecting to have to pay a large amount for a service. I was pleasantly surprised when the staff member took to my needs straight away and started dealing to my vacuum. He gave it a thorough clean and fixed the problems within 10 minutes. I was happy to pay for his help but didn’t charge me. He also gave me information about how to care for my vacuum properly that I wasn’t aware of! I could not recommend Godfreys and their helpful staff enough!

   Do not Buy the WE2000 OR the SE2000. With only a one year warranty and also repairs that would cost at least 99.00 for repair and have only used twice since owning this particular Model/Brand. Used today, after 7 months and started smoking inside the lounge from the actual carpet shampoo vacuum. Removed the plug and was still smoking from the inside of the Carpet Cleaner. After taking it outside and opening the kitchen window and lounge window. Let off a bad smell. Rubber Smell. was intoxicating. After the smoke had cleared but still left the burning smell in the lounge and kitchen Took the tools out and dismantled to see why it was smoking to begin with. The Motor had completely burnt out and the wiring was burnt inside. Take Note. had only used this carpet shampoo cleaner twice. Owned for at least a year an a half. Caution. Not safe for an elderly person or to have around anybody when it lets off smoke like this. The smell was very intoxicating and dangerous. Had to open the Lounge Sliding Door. Just not a safe product. To anybody buying this product be aware of what they do and not tell you about the product. Most of the times they dont tell you the truth about their products and like to Scam their Customers. SE2000 which is now I see going at 299.00. Please do not buy this. Nobody likes to take responsibility for the Product and expect customers to buy their Trashy Carpet Shampoo Vacuum Cleaner. This Particular Model is a NO GO. make sure that the people who are selling it to you Know what they are talking about as when I phoned them none of them wanted to apologize on behalf of their company nor did they want to own up to what had happened. Shouldnt be working there in my opinion

   100% Great service during buying and the after service is 2nd to none. Bought our upright Hoover Vaccum from this store over 2 years ago. The original service was great, we have pets and needed a vaccum that would suit this purpose. The vaccum we were advised was perfect and the amount of pet hair/dust it picked up was way better than any dyson or other vacuum we'd had. However it had developed a few issues over it's very hard life, and just before Covid lockdown the 2 year warranty was coming to an end. They advised me to take it in for repairs and a service under their plan. Lockdown occurred and 3 months later the now dead vaccum was out of warranty. The store advised on the potential cost but also stated they would try and repair under the original warranty. Within 2 weeks later, the vaccum had be completely serviced to a fantastic standard and they had gone out of their way to have it all done under warranty.

   I was just going to buy a simple filter for my old vacuum and ended up buying a new one by trading in the old one and also got a hand vacuum one which was at a good sale tag. Staff is friend and knowledgeable about the products and warranties. As an specialized store, it gives us more confidence in their suggestions and opinions about all their inventory. Got a Hoover smart vacuum cleaner and hopes it last at least 5 years for the price I paid.
