During our holidays throughout NZ, the best prices and variety of items we found were here. All under one roof. Perhaps, it is the same in all branches throughout NZ. Otherwise, overall, NZ has been quiet expensive.
They are now using FACIAL RECOGNITION disguised as a service to the public for our 'safety' when is an absolute BS reason. If someone in the store become aggressive then security should step in, NOT have EVERYONE's face scanned. I will be avoiding this shop LIKE THE PLAGUE.
I want to leave a review for a supervisor called "Molly"(with white opal earrings),we had a small issue with our billing and Molly was extremely helpful and sweet! Customer service at peak, setting a great standard for Pak N Save!!
Don’t go any other supermarket as PaknSave sells fresh fish (some at discount) and Sara Lee cheese cake , Kales , broccoli and Twilling Camomile tea. Almost everything is a lot cheaper other groceries

This PaknSave consistently offers excellent deals every week, especially when compared to the Countdown supermarket. The staff members are incredibly helpful and attentive, making the shopping experience even more enjoyable.
Absolutely terrible service from the duty manager(s?) John and Tom today with no accountability for their actions. Yesterday I requested a raincheck on a product that was on sale but out of stock (I'd also tried ordering it online with no luck), but John refused, telling me they were getting more stock today. He assured me it'd be in, but said I could call in the morning to make sure the stock had arrived (because I'm injured so driving is difficult at the moment). I called at 2:30pm and to see if the stock was there. Tom told me it was (after speaking to John) and said they'd put the product aside for me and (since I cannot get it off the shelf with my injury). I went into the store at 4pm to pick up my order only to be given smaller, not on sale, items because they didn't receive the bigger items. I asked John if I'd get them for the sale price of the larger item I wanted and had been assured was in stock. Nope! Mine you, I'd written my phone number down, with the items I wanted, the day before, at John's request, so they could've called me and let me know, but they didn't. They lied to me, wasted my time, caused me extra physical pain, and expected me to pay them more for the pleasure. Appalling service. Complete and utter time wasters.
One of the biggest stores of Pak'n Save. Great Deals.Wide range of products when compared to the other stores I have been to.More than one self check out counters and enough room to place the groceries than at the Countdown stores.
Probably the best in Christchurch. Maybe not modern but has everything to need. Handy central big car park petrol station. Never had an issue with staff. Sometimes many people guess its supermarket on the end. But you can find times that suit you when is not too busy.
