Been one of my regular supermarkets for years with good selection of products. But they need to do something about all the beggars that hang around outside, what happened to that sign they used to have saying ‘no beggars outside the shop’?
Produce isn’t always the best quality. However lots of variety of other stuff which is good. Don’t like the signage as you have to go to the end of each aisle to see what’s in it as they’re hidden in the aisles while other places have all the signs sideways at each end so you can easily see which aisle you need to go to. Not keen on the poor security either, doesn’t make me feel safe shopping there.
We visited your location last Wednesday December 17 unfortunately our visit was disappointing. One of the workers name (Manu) was rude and unhelpful, speaking in an unfriendly tone and showing no interest in assisting us her attitude was not appropriate that make us leave unhappy. Customer service is important, and this experience did not meet our expectations. I hope management addresses this so future visits are better.
Did they change the price tags on purpose? A lot of people are picking them up thinking they're cheap, so it looks like inappropriate marketing.
Went into countdown to some shopping with my Auntie and all sudden 3 workers and the security guard approach us telling my auntie to leave the store bc the fkn security guard accused her that she was stealing and of course the fkn workers believed him so we left and I can tell you now I’m never coming back to countdown ever again. The worst experience ever.
Flagship Countdown with huge range. Specialty gluten free aisles and organic with lots of choice. Free fruit for kids as you go in. Excellent fruit and veg area with misting. Large deli and pharmacy. Very big frozen cabinet areas and a big range of sundries from slippers to electric appliances. Easy to navigate, big car park, just off main road opposite The Base mega shopping centre.
Always clean and tidy. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Can get quite busy at times
It's always hard to find a basket here. If you walk through the doors, turn left towards the customer service desk, and hopefully you'll find yourself a basket. I have noticed items here are more expensive than they are in Huntly (sapphire grapes for $10 instead of $8). I haven't compared any other items, but I thought it was interesting.
Trying to get a couple of shower gels, I followed the Product Locator, which led me to the right aisle and shelf. But there was nothing there. Unless I suffered from acute domestic blindness, aka "mens look", there was simply nothing to find. Searching for staff for help, the preoccupied staff member at the self-checkout guided me in the right direction only to find again - nothing. Searching high and low, I found all sorts of items but no shower gel. After a more than 10 minutes unsuccessful hunt for some blimmen shower gel I gave up. I went to New World instead, where I found in an instant what I was looking for. Conclusion: - Product Locator doesn't work or is not up-to-date - Not enough staff to help me - items are not displayed properly I hope, this was a one-off only.
