   Coffee is mind blowing. Service is good. Food range is amazing. Cabinet sweets are great. They only thing I would request the management to not allow pets inside the restaurant. Not everyone is a fan of animals, mostly the doors are closed so the room starts smelling bad too. Humble request. Also , birds are quite irritating as well. They were so many bird poop stains on the table and chairs inside the restaurant, and on the ceiling pipes too. It’s quite disgusting.

   Service was polite and prompt. Eggs Benedict was perfectly cooked and delicious. Coffee was way to hot, and the milk tasted boiled. Atmosphere was uncomfortably loud, but this is a popular café, so can't really expect much else. Unfortunate about the coffee and the noise, but it was still a good experience over all.

   It was a bit of a shock when I was presented with my meal. The plate was swimming in brown sauce and the egg was brown. Although the bacon was nicely cooked and the sauce ok, the toast was soggy and there were too few mushrooms - which sadly were undercooked (less shrinkage that way so it looks like there’s more). Fortunately my dog enjoyed the brown egg, the soggy bread and most of the mushrooms. However, even if he tried to persuade me to, I would never order this dish again.

   While shopping at Mitre 10 I called into Columbus Cafe for an early lunch. Had a wonderful chicken panini and a delicious long black. The staff are courteous and willing to go the extra mile to make a memorable experience.
