   We'd been staying near here for a few weeks, and were using it often for day to day items. Then when we purchased to bottles of bubbles on NYE 2025, we were questioned about whether we'd had even "one wine" that day by the supervisor on between 1pm and 2pm. She'd randomly came over before we'd even scanned the items, checked our bag, then proceeded to practically grill us on if we were drunk, if we'd even had one drink that day (we hadn't) while giving us filthy looks. I was more surprised she didn't just deny the purchase given the inquisition she was undertaking. She never asked to check our IDs too. With a few days left we've decided not to go back and make the extra five minute walk to another supermarket. Just absolutely rude behaviour. Recommend staff get extra training on what the law around alcohol sales are.

   A very attractive market-style store. Lots of variety and plenty of fresh food options. Very handy for snacks, budget friendly easy lunch or dinner if youre staying in a hotel nearby.

   Convenient and good selection but watch out for their common and misleading “sweet save” specials where the item is only 10c cheaper than the full price (pic is older but still happening today)

   Surprised that the fresh-produce section is not larger. Lots of NZ beers in cans, including several low-alcohol options. Many vegan items around the store, including a small “Health foods” section and a Magnum vegan almond ice-cream bar in the cooler before the checkout area. Also, some packets of Wattie’s Plant Proteinz meals.

   Considering this is an urban grocery store in a downtown shopping center, I was quite pleased with the selection. I had no problem finding sandwiches and chips and all sorts of snacks to bring back to the hotel room and would be my driving snacks. The store is nicely laid out with lots of options. Self-checkout worked well and I had no problem using my American credit card to pay for my stuff.

   I just want to give the Deli staff a shout out - they are AWESOME! I regularly pop in to grab something for lunch and they are always so friendly, and each one of them is a pleasure!

   I bought a royal gala apple and a can of A&W root beer. The apple was not as crisp and juicy as I would have liked, but the root beer was as expected, it’s flavour transporting me back to childhood visits to Canada and America. Thank you fresh choice for providing access to happy memories. Now, if you could just stop printing receipts that go straight into your bin, which appears to be exclusively full of receipts, you might earn an extra star.

   This review is for the Lil Ruby coffee bar in this supermarket. The coffee isn't bad and at times in the morning they have a $3 / 8Oz coffee which is good value. The staff are friendly and try to meet customers' requirements. They have a few small tables for two people. Happy to try them again. Thank you.

   Great downtown supermarket, nice decor, spacious, well presented, human and machine checkouts are both available. Wide ranging drinks in the fridge readily cold. There's also a cafe at the entrance with a few seats and a table for their customers.
