Great local liquor store! Thirst Liquor Islington always has a solid range of drinks at fair, consistent prices. The prices are firm, but you know you’re getting good value. The staff are friendly, helpful, and know their stuff — they make every visit quick and easy. Definitely my go-to spot in the area!

Amazing Customer service! What a great service provided by Arwinder. I rang the store from Rotorua to arrange some gift for my client. I must say Arwinder went above and beyond to provide me the customer service that evening. He helped us to choose the right product and also delivered the gift to our client after hours of his store which is rare to see these days. Very friendly and satisfying service. Many Thanks!

Brand new store now open on 29th January 2021... new start, new owners... in brand new retail building complex.... family run business for the locals. The old building has been pulled down and everything is gone with it... Do come checkout the new store... 5 times the size of the old and 10 times the selection and Sootys good old deals... Only give one star because i had to give atleast one....im sorry but since Sooty has sold up i have seen nothing but a downward slope...go in to get some bourbon a common brand and to be told multiple times there is none in christchurch when the local henerys is fully stocked....I continued to go to the swamp bottle store because its local but go there in clear opening hours to find it shut and then tonight find doors locked at 8 pm due to the staff having a break no sign up saying back at.... just locked lights on music going and sign open till 10....come on guys do you want to remain in business??
