My 5 star rating is solely due to Clayton. Clayton’s attention to us when we dropped in for lunch was second to none. He is AMAZING at his job! The food is great too!!! And because of his care and attention we will definitely be back!!!
A group of us girls went for lunch, something we have done regularly (every 3 months or so, for a few years now). We thoroughly enjoyed the food, the service was fantastic and we have all decided it was our best lunch date ever. Thanks so much Speights Ale House.
Great meal. Plenty tablets for the ordering system. Fast service. Amazing steak done to our liking. Small detail, the lighting was a bit dark over our table due to a lightbulb that was out. Not very busy on a Saturday evening.
the service alone was enough for the 5 star rating staff were so friendly , multiple team members come to check if we needed anything else and also checked in about how our food was etc The tablet service was impressive , we have them in Auckland but yet to come across one that we could pay from the table !! It was super easy to use and was a great way to check what we had added and total costs and overall was a really efficient way to dine in and allows staff to tend to other jobs The food was tasty !! Very generous potion sizes and well presented , I’d say you get great value for money with the amount of food they serve was happy with how fast the food arrived too The venue was clean , well organised and had the coolest chairs / bar stools , enjoyed the fact it was nice and quiet in the dining area music was at a good level and overall will be saving this place to re visit when we next come down Thanks so much would highly recommend
We came to Hamilton for the Moana Vs Chief games. We came 2-3 hours early so we parked up and explored Hamilton City and came across the Chiefs House haha where we had a Lovely Experience at The Speight’s Ale House Hamilton. We had a great dining experience at The Speight’s Ale House. I visited with my cousins, aunty and uncle. We ordered the Chicken Burgers with a side of hot chips and creamy aioli x3 – absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. My aunty and uncle had the classic fish and chips with tartare sauce, which they really enjoyed. To go with our meals, we had two refreshing pineapple juices – one with pulp and one without. The presentation of the food matched exactly what was shown on the menu, and the atmosphere of the place was warm, welcoming, and relaxed. A truly enjoyable meal in a lovely setting – would definitely recommend!

Standing establishment great for meeting friends for casual drinks or gathering to watch a sports game and catch up with the team really nice venue to go to close walk from FMG stadium plenty of seating room inside as well as outside would recommend going here. Toilets are big clean and have room. We hade a great time drinking bear with shooters we had 10 pints and 4 shots.
We dined with a large group on a Sunday night. Our meals (ordered via tablet which was an easy and efficient way to order I must say!) came out super fast, and I thoroughly enjoyed my steak. The waiter and waitress were attentive, friendly and obliging especially when it came to bringing out our drinks, as well as desserts.
I used to like Speights Alehouse but after tonight's visit I won't be back the only thing that got 2 stars was my Steak and my IPA my wife's pasta meal was nothing I couldnt have made at home from a supermarket pasta pack $1 some milk and some margarine throwing in some deli chicken not worth what they charged 30 odd dollars the other 2 things was my bourbon sauce for my steak never arrived on it or with it I made sure I didn't pay for it but who's on quality control in that kitchen I could keep going but I won't I'm not going to tell you who's reading this to not come here because I own a small business myself but be aware to question everything if something doesn't look right tell your maitrade to fix it..... 2/5.... won't be back sadly
Is there wifi here for patrons whilist dining here? I've been here a couple of hours and just curious? Waitress and I can't seem to find the ip address? Food ordered was beef burger and fries.
