Dropped in on a whim for a snack before we had lunch hahahaha mistake!! The food was sooo good we couldn't resist having a full breakfast and are now waddling off to lunch. Elsa was so sweet to us with lovely service, so genuine and the perfect vibe for a rainy morning. You can tell she likes what she's doing. Ka Pai

Amazing food and friendly staff. Not your run of the mill cafe,’nice unique (to the region) flavors. And staff were really welcoming. I had the Dutch style hotdog, which was amazing. The roll was not the super soft variety as a previous reviewer noted, but this seems like a more chewy style of bread roll and seemed fitting. I wonder if they expected an American style roll. For me it was perfect, even if it required effort to cut and enjoy.

Got a couple of Olliebollen to go and was saddened to find there was no apple inside. Which is fine as apple isn’t compulsory, however the disappointing thing was the texture. These things were so damn chewy and difficult to eat. I wouldn’t recommend them from Zenders.

So well I will start with the place it self and I tell you it is a beautiful spot, loads of parking, EV charges and a view to die for. Service from the serving staff was on point, very polite and service was timely. Coffee was really good and can out quickly. On to the food, we'll my partners food was tasty and interesting flavors. Then on to mine, which was the Dutch hot dog, chips were good sausage tasted nice but..... the bun they put it in was stale and so hard I couldn't bite through it or cut it with a knife, so hard on the initial bite I thought I had hit a stone. Thought at one stage I would lose a tooth, this is no exaggeration. I showed the waitress and tried to cut it in front of her and she was so disappointed that came out of the kitchen. From there I was asked politely if I would like it to be redone but not for me. They took it off the bill so happy with that. In conclusion, the place looks amazing, very welcoming but very underwhelming. Sorry to say but I would not recommend. Hope things improve.

I attended a high special event and I am very sorry to say it was not a great experience, unfortunately the biggest complaint was the quality of the food, it was absolutely terrible, I spent about $1k . It was $45 per head the worst was the scone, it was described by nearly everyone was that it was the texture of a rock and well over cooked and not much bigger than the size of my thumb nail , the sandwiches were not club as what it said on the menu and a awful filling of just cucumber and a pickle and the size of the vol-o -ven was also the size of my thumb nail and cold and then nearly half of the guests missed out on their cup of tea because apparently there was not enough teapots. The 3 year old didn’t get his club sandwich and fruit and no knife for the cake which of course we had to go to the kitchen and request one and then had to find someone to take it away to cut it up. The fee for city the cut was charged at $30 The only compliments I got was on my decoration skills. Emma our server was great, very nice and polite but the other lady Theresa I’m sad to say was obviously having a bad day, she was not polite at all, seemed very annoyed to be there. So I’m very sorry to say I would not recommend Zenders as a good place to go to for a special event catering.

What a rip off !!!! I went to a high tea function for an eightieth birthday party. There were approx. 20 family and friends and we all paid $45 each. When we arrived we were all asked what kind of tea we would like (Great you think) that was the end of that, I never got any tea, and neither did many others. They were short of cups and glass tea pots (only 10)There were no nice cups & saucers as you would expect. We were served by a very inexperienced and quiet girl who bought out nice 3 tier cake stands (that was the only nice thing) The food was very disappointing. There was a very small scone that would have been in good competition with a bullet. There were no freshly baked cakes, and the worst thing of all.......No club sandwiches.....like salmon and cream cheese, egg and ham etc. All the food looked like it had been prepared a few days before. The Young waitress didn't return half way through and we were replaced by an older woman. I never heard her apologise but to be fair, she may have to someone else. The room was nice and had been decorated beautifully by the family. The day was saved by the Good company of family and friends. I would never, ever recommend this place to anyone.

Awesome service. Truly amazing food. The atmosphere is so relaxed and it feels very authentic, reminds me of sitting in an old Dutch ladies house as a child with all the trinkets and pictures on the wall.
