Got the butter chicken and garlic naan bread. Cost $27.00. Food was ok food court food. Saw the line for Maccas was busy and not a soul waiting for Shamiana. I guess the 80 or so people in the food court knew what I didn’t food is meh price is insane just no
I got the chicken tikka masala. The food was very very very mediocre. Smelled nice, but it went down from there. Served lukewarm, spice level was underwhelming compared to description. Naan had raw chunks of garlic through it, making it nice/okay in some parts of the bread but overwhelming in others. Overall, I should have just got maccas next door.
No complaints about the taste of the lamb curry, it wasn't the best I have eaten but it was flavorsome. The lady who served me had poor communication an attitude and got annoyed with me when I only wanted to add 1 x pakora to my order, she held up 3 fingers and said something that I could not understand, I said I just want one, she shook her head and repeated the 3 fingers and the same words (?) I said just forget it then and went to leave, so she quickly put 1 pakora in a bag and handed it to me, I paid and left. I really should have walked away to demonstrate that bad service is not acceptable.
Will never eat here again I had the butter chicken and then two hours after I was throwing up and started having intense pains in my stomach
I got a vindaloo here which was high in heat but low in flavour. I buy Indian dishes because I want non-bland flavorsome food, but this place misses the mark. This place used to be good but has been disappointing for a long time now, I won't be back
Got the Chicken Tikki Masala Combo not very happy. Had a lot of sauce and not much meat, and the garlic naan I paid extra for was very hard around the edges. I was only able to really eat the centre, which was barely soft. Not happy. I am currently in the bathroom feeling ill, too.
I absolutely love my Ruby Murray, Curry it was delicious I would recommend. If you hungry to go and get a good feed lots of choices maybe try the Mild Mango Chicken, I really enjoyed the Butter Chicken dish with garlic and cheese naan bread and a drink of your choice and there's plenty of seating in the cafeteria it's nice and clean and Well kept by two ladies thank you for your service support local business.
Got a Lamb Rogon Josh curry combo today for lunch. I quite frequently have Shamiana for lunch when traveling. I've been to 2 other branches in the last month in Christchurch and they are fantastic. This one however, was not. The curry had no flavor, the meat was mostly inedible fat, rice was way over cooked. If you're looking for a good lunch, look somewhere else.
