Great shopping experience! Huge selection, good prices. Staff very knowledgeable, pleasant and helpful with assisting me in making the correct purchase. Kyal at checkout was especially kind to another customer having health issues.
club points are great and the service at Papanui is always good. Most staff have been there for ages (ie come from the Cranford store) so know how to deliver great customer service and advice. remember, super cheap always price match, why go anywhere else!
If you’re looking for great service, avoid Papanui Supercheap Auto. I visited this morning to replace my car battery. The service bay was in use, so I parked beside it. A staff member came out, confirmed I needed a new battery, and asked me to move into the service bay—but my car had completely died. You’d think a store that sells and installs batteries would have a jump starter available. Instead, I was told to head into the car park and ask a stranger to help me jump-start it. Since I wasn’t comfortable doing that, I bought a jump starter pack from the store—only to be told it might not be charged and that I’d need to figure it out on my own. Thankfully, it was charged and I got my car going. While I was dealing with that, I saw another customer go inside asking for help jump-starting their car, and the staff literally pointed to me and said, “See that girl outside? That’s what you need to do.” That was the final straw. I left and went to the Riccarton branch instead, where I had a completely different experience. I was greeted as soon as I walked in, and within minutes, four different staff offered help. At Papanui, there were three employees and only one other customer, and not a single person acknowledged me until I went to the counter. Safe to say I won’t be returning to the Papanui store.
Great place and great service. Especially when you can blame the good looking staff behind the counter for mistakes I made. lol. Love the happy attitude she has. Not convinced she is as old as she says. ?? Lmao. (In humour). Love this place.

Went for wiper blade replacement and the guys here helped getting the best option. Have visited them couple times few years before too and all good. Easy n quick Cheers guys
I wasn't well had the flu,sent my daughter in to get what I wanted with my phone to show the sales person, and he went,got the item and doubled check it...
Great store, that rewards club members well.
Disappointing service. Both over the phone and in person. Was told one price for a filter over the phone, and pet would be set aside for pick up. When arriving in person, the item was there but at approximately double the price. Lady at counter was blunt and unapologetic. I respectfully said I wouldn’t find somewhere else to shop.
