   I’ve been to Kaiser Brew a few times now. I highly recommend Kaiser Brew as one of the best places to dine, chill, drink, party and honestly, anything. I’ve found that whenever I go to rooftop venues in the Christchurch CBD, I’m usually disappointed. The food often tries too hard, is way overpriced, and somehow still tastes average at best. Kaiser Brew is the opposite. Their cocktails absolutely slap, and the food never misses. The menu is simple, but everything tastes bloody amazing. They’ve added their own unique flair to the dishes without overcomplicating them.

   Went to the brewery for dinner. Great selection of beers and surprisingly lots of cocktails going around too. I had a peach sour—delicious and dangerously easy to drink! Food was decent; pizza was average, but the calamari was outstanding. Staff were friendly, though it was a bit hard to get their attention Still, I’d definitely go back for the beers and calamari.

   We had a good time at the Kaiser Brew Garden this 10th June - although cold outside, their external seating is nicely heated. Enjoyed their tap beer and fries. Great and helpful staff. Overall nice experience.

   First impressions...My partner and I walked in to have lunch and a guy named 'Richard' had booked out at least 3 of the available tables. Damn Richard, save some for the rest of us. A bit 'off putting' but the early worm gets the nice tables I guess. Jokes aside, we ordered meals (see photos) and the best thing was the chicken. The beef brisket was horribly dry (but somehow looked moist). The kumara fries were obviously cooked from frozen (which is expected) BUT once served, they were all still clumped together. (It happens when you freeze food). So you had to break the pieces off to get a mouth sized bite. Time for a fresh batch of kumara fries maybe? Atmosphere was perfect, nice and warm. Service was okay but it did seem like they were only interested if you ordered drinks. (Yes, this is a biased opinion). When we went to pay, the ordered items weren't read out nor the receipt offered. And let's be honest, is it rude to ask them to read out your order? I'm not too sure. Overall, it's a 3.5/5.
