Big plate of rice that was dry, pasta flavourless and salad tasted foul - Lamb chops were the only saving grace however small portions given. This place has really gone down over the years. The quality of food here is over-priced.
Ordered the rump steak and mushroom meal. The steak was bland and the mushroom sauce watery hardly any mushroom and the coleslaw was horrible had ?cream in it. Pasta salad was nice. My husband said the chicken and ribs were nice and moist.
My family and I love this place! We normally get the Full island plate and can share it between 2 of us. The reviews are surprisingly different but we love this place. When we feel like splurging this is where we go!
It's been nearly 2 years since we have been back. We thought we were at the wrong place as it looks like new owners not too sure. Anyway I ordered the steak and creamy mushroom plate. Looking at the other reviews on here for this same meal I must have been lucky as I enjoyed my meal, I had no complaints portions were massive the Mac was creamy and the chips was more then a scoop of chips you get at your local. Steak was done as requested (well done) not dry but juicy and not chewy. Worth the drive coming from out west as we do thank you!
Food is a hit or a miss, but mostly a miss lately. Quality has gone downhill. Looking at the other reviews and who they’re left by, I wonder if this place is doing what other restaurants do, paying foodies like on Tik Tok and offering free or discounted meals which they make to the best of their ability obviously for so those foodies to leave great reviews, but then serve the average customer the usual standard daily food they serve that doesn’t get as much attention. Save your money, buy the stuff and make it home, less convenient but get your money’s worth and not left wondering if it’s going to be good or bad this time.
Uber eats order. Second time ordering with Island BBQ and they never disappoint. I ordered the rump steak and mushrooms comes with salad, coleslaw and chips - Absolutely delicious! Plating is very generous. Have recommended to family and friends. Thank you.
UBER EATS ORDER ORDERED: 1x Triple Churr Burger Combo Since we ordered through uber eats, we wondered if it would be ok. It was GREAT. The burger was big, the fries had a great seasoning. Can't believe the taste was awesome!
Banana smoothie was really nice. The single patty chur burger was dry and disappointing. Especially for a BBQ joint. I would have thought they would make smash burgers but that may just be personal preference. I also got the Go Big - Full Island plate, which was average taste wise, nothing amazing. The coleslaw wasn't pleasant, however, their teriyaki lamb was delicious. If I go again, I'd love to try their steak.
