   You can see amazing view from behind the building. The stairs are closed at the moment.

   I came here on a whim, on a gloomy winters day, accompanied by my Dad, who was able to fill me in a bit on the history of the place. We had a good walk around the main building, but not down the track, as it wasn't in great condition - and neither is he! Overall, and interesting bit of local history.

   The place looks run down, compared to 20yrs ago, and the drive along the golf course towards the building is all muddy on the left corner, might as well close it off to vehicles

   Having enjoyed the magnificent views at sunrise today, 16/2/2024, we are so blessed to start our beautiful day off every Friday. At around 6:50am, the Sun rose gradually above the sea level. We stood on the grass which was a bit wet and watched the sunrise peacefully and gracefully. There were not many people there at that time, apart from a few joggers who do their daily jog along the trail. We enjoyed our packed breakfast and homemade coffee in our car with the amazing sunrise picturesque view. We highly recommend you to watch sunrise there if you live near Bucklands Beach or Half Moon Bay in East Auckland.

   The building is an interesting bit of history, but it's not well maintained and apparently no tours are offered. Just the same, it's a lovely location with beautiful views from the road leading to the building.

   Nice place to visit, various trails that lead you to nice views, scary at night but fun with a group of people, nice for star gazing too and just a good place for walks, I like going there at night with a group of friends

   Beautiful spot. Gets pretty busy during summer. There's a narrow road the takes you through the golf course right to the end of the peninsula. Vehicle gate closes at 6pm daily.
