Been going to Braydon at The Grooming Cave for a few months now and he’s honestly solid. Never messed me up once, cuts are always clean and exactly what I want. The vibe’s always good too, consistency is 10/10 every time, makes the whole thing easy instead of awkward. Proper barber you can trust. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.
Haircut wasn’t great. Giving 2 stars as he was trying his best. He did this weird ducks back style which was weird. Charged me $55 where website was $45. Tell him this job is probably not right for him.
I'm 61 years old so I couldn't care less whether my hair is stylish or not. What I care about is having a reasonably priced barber I can park close to and not sit waiting half an hour while four or five poofters in front of me issue ridiculously elaborate instructions for their fade as if the girlfriends they'll never have would give a damn. There's no wait time because plenty of staff are available. And last time it actually seemed like a few young lads who'd been trimmed up already were sticking around to shoot the breeze, maybe it's a cool hangout or something, as if I knew what cool was. The kid who cut my hair was neat, quick and polite. Staying open an hour later than everyone else helps too. Good job boys.
Cave is the best salon in Dunedin, and two years ago I was at my lowest in life very valuable, I had driven past Crave and something was drawing me in the door, best thing I ever did. I had my first treatment with Kyle and never looked back, now I have the beautiful Bonnie who is just as amazing, I am truly thankful to my Crave whanau who always make me their number one priority when it is my turn in the chair. Would recommend Crave to everyone. X
I have taken my son here twice now... First time was great, the boy who cut my sons hair was attentive and great. The second time however, another boy had done my sons hair he seemed very unattentively, the haircut my son said wasn't what he wanted, and even though we booked we still had to wait not too long but long enough where it was quite annoying .
Usually they cut my undercut well. Today's experince was horrific. The young barber that attempted to trim my undercut appeared to have little to no training given that when they were done, they strategically! held the mirror up on my right side! Only. showing me the side they trimmed well. The left side of my head had a horrific bald patch.... . It looks terrible. I haf to figured that out on my own and became angry and panicked. When I called back to inform them they were not apologetic -Terrible customer service. If the kid cutting my hair today Said :" hey something went wrong"... I would have been worried but okay, because there were other barbers around to help come up with a solution. The barber I spoke with over the phone (I assume was the manager) did offer to look at my hair and try and fix it. However I do not trust them to fix anything at this pount.
What an amazing team, Moj and his team not only provide the best hair cut in town but have great customer service skills and have a personable relationship with their customers. I have been visiting Grooming Cave for last 3years and would highly recommend. Price and products are excellent.
Lousy service when I took my son to the botany one. No one approached us, as there was only one customer. The guy was sitting and cleaning his stuff and just looked at us and ignored us. There was no customer service at all. The staff are needed to train customer service as professionals. They didn't seem to be professional people to serve customers.
Highly recommend, would suggest booking as they book out fast. Be mindful the booking system still in works and has issues may double book or have to wait bit longer but worth the wait and pricing on point, would defiantly come again. Professional grooming and customer service
Moj did great haircut to hubby! Place is stunningly well kept, great manly vibes. I love the details of this spot, friendly staff. They are very comfortable having convo, and professional too. Had to wait for a bit as they are full. My man liked his cut afterwards and was very happy. Highly recommended!
