Poor quality, ordered chow mein and it was vegetables and breadsticks in gravy. Too much msg and oil. Restaurant is tired and needs a reno.
Best potato fritters I have had in an absolute age, perfectly fluffy potato on the inside and crunchy batter on the outside. Something so simple that has been prepared perfectly. I also really enjoyed the roast pork plate, very impressed.

Probably forged by ancient gods with a bone to pick and a need for smoky perfection. Service was fast, the vibes were immaculate, and by the third bite I was Googling “how to franchise a WenJi BBQ.” Do yourself a favour. Go hungry. Leave happy. Smell like BBQ for three days and wear it with pride. 11/10. Would sell my left sock to eat here again.
Bought and paid for beef with black bean without rice. Come to find the container half empty. For $20, I expected a full container of food. Further more when I call to tell her that this is the case she starts arguing with me to tell me we must have eaten it on the way. Instead of apologising and moving forward. We have been a customers for over 30 years. And this is three households that support them. Dealing with her rudeness is just not acceptable. The food flavour is less than standard. Definitely will be finding another local takeaway to support going forward. Not recommending this place to anyone.
Tasty food and low price. Recommend 2 or 3 combination on rice.
After cheap Chinese takeaways with genuine Chinese classics like beef brisket and 河粉 (rice noodle). This takeaway was a taste of Tianjin. Highly recommended.
I use to go double happy in otahuhu but thus place is just as good plus has more variety of takeaway menu. Il be back
My local yummy fishnchips most times, combos 4 fish n chips or chicken n chip, also large asian menu yum and tasty, my fav, black steak with bean sauce on rice or on soft noddles,
Always use to drive pass and didn't think much of the place. One night I saw a queue of people so I thought to try it. That was 8-9 months ago... I honestly believe it's one of the best take outs in Onehunga/Penrose. The food is always fresh, fried rice actually tastes like fried rice. Chicken nibbles are great complimented by crunchy chips...The lady is crackup, with great customer service. Highly recommend
