   Worst food ever ..as a indian and as an chef my opinion for you guys to stop putting to much sugar in food ..your food literly zero.. i will never ever come here and i will reccomand others too dont waste your money here.. very sad ... that i lost my money

   I saw a few 1-star reviews about Mumbai Express in the food court, so I wanted to check it out for myself. I stopped by during my lunch break since I was in a bit of a rush. I ordered the Butter Chicken with rice and naan bread for $23. To be honest, it wasn’t the best. The taste was pretty average — not bad, but nothing that really stood out either. The portion was fine, but for the price, I expected a bit more flavor and freshness. Overall, I wouldn’t give them just 1 star because it wasn’t terrible, but it definitely wasn’t great either. I’d say 2.5 stars feels fair.

   I bought a chicken korma with rice and garlic naan on 27/8/25. Took it away as I couldn’t eat it all for lunch. Had the rest for dinner and developed gastro pains and diarrhea, in the middle of the night, food definately contaminated. I have read quite a few reviews about this place and I am not the first to get food poisoning. Where is the health department and why have they not been investigated or shut down.

   Do yourseld a favour and dont waste your money and your health! This is thr worst food in Auckland and has the most disrespectful staff. We ordered a butter chicken and we tried so hard to not complain but literally the chicken was all rubbish bones and shredded parts which were impossible to swallow and disgusting! I approached them first and they said they don't do anything about it and are happy for me to leave a negative feedback! We couldn't continue eating that rubbish so I complained again and tild the guy to try the food himseld. He answered that "if you are hungry I'll give you more food!". I left the tray on his desk and left. This is the first time I leave a feedback on anything - which shows how dissatisfied and unhappy we are with this food and experience.

   I ordered the vegetable curry on Tuesday, because the normal vegetarian I order, the paneer curry, looked very red compared to normal. I hope no other vegetarians ordered the vegetable curry. The chicken in it was a very unpleasant discovery.

   The worst Indian I've ever had. We have this place a second chance but totally regret it The curries are really thin like they have been watered down and flavourless. The naans are old and like rubber. The chicken was poor quality and tasted bad. Will not eat here ever again. Please improve your food quality!

   We ordered Combo meal which is Chicken korma curry, rice, naan, Pepsi from Mumbai express at Sylvia park.. But the curry was too sweet like dessert and didn't feel like India food. My friend who had it felt vomiting!! It was such a waste of money for this expensive food... I don't recommended this place..

   This place sell one samosa on $3 last day and today when i popin they sell on $4 and the size was also srinked I was shocked at the high rates in each single thing . Look at this difficult times of inflation I mean you can increase like 20c or 30 c in each bite . You should be ashamed of your prices , may karma hits your owner and organisers. The prices were so exorbitant that I couldn't afford to purchase anything. However, If you're looking to spend a lot of money, this is definitely the place to go. But if you're on a budget, I'd recommend staying far away from this store and people.

   Ordered chicken briyani, no sign to say it very very hot ( almost inedible for most customers) raita was over a day old smelled and tasted musty, not very welcoming they just want to serve you quick and onto the next. Noticed so many persons standing in front of store and then walk away. Need to try harder to keep customers happy if they want return business.
