This place brought back memories of kopi-tiam in Malaysia. The food is tasty and authentic, the people are friendly and warm. Also the teh tarik is very much like the original flavours you get in Malaysia. Price is very reasonable too. Definitely recommend the place!

Amazing authentic Malaysian food! Highly recommended. Crispy fried chicken is delicious. Shrimp noodle (harmen) was super flavourful.

I love their boneless fried chicken. It’s crispy outside and so juicy inside, although it’s a bit expensive $11 for this size. The prawn noodle soup was so yummy. I like their soup, it’s so rich. My fried kuey teow was a bit overcooked as it became bitter. Next time I will try their laksa noodles.

Order Mie Curry Laksa Chicken for me and spicy fried rice for my husband and chicken nibbles. Curry Laksa tastes delicious, just like in malaysia. The fried rice also said the husband said taste lacking good but the portion a little bit small for $18 price. He said he had come before and the portion was a bit bigger than today. Overall, we recommend here for anyone who wants to try simple malaysian cuisine yet yummy. It's also got halal stamp on the restaurant so good for halal food hunter.

I stopped by the Onehunga store after heading to Dressmart. There were a few parking spots right outside the store and I was able to grab one as it wasn't busy. The dining area is fairly large. I ordered at the counter and grabbed a table. The milo was really hot when it arrived so I didn't really get to have much until it cooled down. The char kuey teow was nice and tasty. I also grabbed six of the chicken nibbles and they were quite juicy and tasty. It was a nice place to stop for some tasty Malaysian dishes.

If you are looking for good Malaysian resto, Sim's Kitchen will not disappoint your taste buds. They have nasi lemak and hainanese chicken rice. Staff are great and courteous. It's a busy little resto so please be patient as you will eventually be rewarded with good food.

We had the prawn noodles and char kuay teow. Portion was not big, each dish around $20 each. We actually came here because we saw the menu online and wanted to their oyster omelette, assam laksa and a few other authentic Malaysian dish. But when we got there, all the choices we wanted was not there. So little disappointed, they should update their menu online. However the char kuey teow did taste good, nice wok hay. The prawn noodles was quite spicy but average tasting. Might come back if they have all the choices from the menu.
