My Partner and I personally love the hangi and fish and chips from this shop, especially the stuffing (however might be soggy to some), We have just moved into the area and have had hangi from here more than 5 times. Sucks the prices have now gone up though, but as everything else in the area.
Hangi meats and vegetables where delicious however the stuffing was disappointing and quite soggy, if your a fan of the stuffing I would recommend going elsewhere otherwise this place is great
The lamb hangi had off cuts of lamb that was grey and tasted awful, the smell was not good, nor was the taste. Had to throw out :(

I'm picky with my fish n chip places, some up here I just don't trust the cleanliness or the fact that I'm eating what they say I'm eating. Coming from the Waikato we have some mean places run by locals, so when we found this place, we drive all the way from Papatoetoe to come here in peak traffic lol This place is up there. Clean oil, everything tastes fresh! Chicken burgers are a must! Highly recommend!!!
The lady and her husband who run this is very friendly. They always use fresh oil and their hand hygiene is excellent. The chips here are fabulous and when we order them, it’s the crispy ones that are sought after. The burgers are awesome too.
Very disappointed with the food ! I had ordered 2 Hoki fish and 1 snapper with 3 dollars Chips They are over priced charging $7 for a snapper after receiving the snapper it was only the size of a palm whilst the batter was hard and crusty not crispy I can tell that the batter was old The batter was horrible! I’m a big person on fish and chips and had heard good things about this place but I was definitely let down I would never go back to this takeaways again! I apologise for writing such a negative review but if you are as big on the food as me you’ll understand that maintaining quality and consistency is key for any business, Especially when you are charging $7 for a snapper ! I hope this helps the viewers, South Mall Fishers is one of the BEST fish and chip shops that I know of ! South Mall Fishers is located in south Mall ! This Fish and chip shop is the best fish and chip shop in South Auckland it’s just unfortunate that it to far away to be bringing home
