   Got butchered bangs and accused of scamming?! Went to a nearby salon for a quick trim. I’ve always had short hair (above the ears, see photo 4) and told the stylist I just wanted a simple cut and thinning. She said $25 because I’m a female, even though the men’s cut is $20 and my hair is just as short. I emphasized it wasn’t about the $5 difference, I just wanted a fair price based on hair length and effort, not gender. After some back-and-forth, she finally agreed to charge me $20. But what happened next was honestly absurd. Before the cut, I clearly told her I wanted my bangs trimmed to eyebrow length, and the rest cut short as usual. After the cut… I was in shock. My bangs were uneven with a huge gap on the right. I swear I’ve never looked worse. I told her it was unacceptable. I asked her what she could do to fix it, and her only solution was to cut the bangs even shorter to “match the gap.” But they were already above my eyebrows and any shorter would just make it worse. Look, I get it. $20 is a cheap haircut. My expectations weren’t high. I just wanted something neat and even. But this was clearly a stylist’s mistake, not a matter of taste. I believe I deserve basic service quality as a paying customer. What really blew my mind was that during our argument, she accused me of trying to get a free haircut, saying I was trying to dine and dash. I was never trying to avoid paying. Again, it wasn’t about the money. It was about the fact that she completely failed to deliver a basic haircut. And the most ridiculous part? We had already agreed on $20 before the cut. After agreeing on $20, she demanded $25 after the mess she made. This is a clear case of gender discrimination. Please be careful out there. I’ll be wearing a hat for a month. Avoid this place ❌
