Deeply Disappointed in How This Shop Has Changed I’m honestly very disappointed in the direction Dove Shop has taken. I’ve supported this shop for years and always appreciated that it was meant to serve the community especially knowing that everything on the shelves is donated. But lately the prices have become so unrealistic that it feels like the original purpose has been lost. Some items are now priced higher than what they cost brand new, which is incredibly discouraging. For example, I recently saw a pair of flat, light shoes made in Japan the very cheap kind you can buy new for next to nothing in Temu ,being sold for $45 second-hand. That was a real wake-up call. I respect that the shop raises money for cancer support, but it shouldn’t be done in a way that pushes out the very people who want to contribute. When donated goods are marked up this steeply, it stops feeling like a community-based charity and starts feeling like something else entirely. Dove Shop used to feel fair, welcoming, and accessible. Now it feels unaffordable and out of reach. I truly hope they reconsider their approach, because many of us who once supported them are feeling let down — and priced out.

Fantastic store with quality, boutique brands. Well laid out, a great range of clothing, jewelry, bags, shoes and books. Everything is clean and very tidy - visiting is always enjoyable and I love supporting Hospice.

This shop could be so good… however stock doesn’t move as most of it is overpriced, ends up looking like a hoarding situation. You could make so many more money for your hospice if you actually sold the donations instead of letting them pile up.

Very pricey for a “charity” shop , base price for most clothing items were $35 , I understand they have some nice upmarket brands and the shop and layout itself is very nice and clean but again everything has been donated and is second hand, better off buying brand new with those prices :)

This shop is pretty lucky to have people donating some good quality items - even antiques. There are a few rare finds in here. However, most of the other ordinary stock is heavily overpriced, which is unsurprising given the location.

Seriously over priced. been Op shopping 20 yrs. Prices now just under new. Now shop 15 to 20km out of city for fair deal

Well presented and has some great pieces, but very over priced and no kids clothes or toys, just a couple of kids books which was what I was there for

Lovely clothes and home wares. Would go there when I need to dress up for an occasion.

Very tidy, small shop. Different to the other Dove Hospices I've been to, in the sense that the objects are more rare, maybe antiques? (I wouldn't know) prices also higher, but most of the things I've seen look higher quality than the other op shops (shoes, clothes, some jewelry and cutlery for example), so maybe that is expected. Some other things (like books, games, and appliances) are the same at higher prices, so it's probably not worth going here if you are searching for these.

Extremely expensive considering they get it free. Way more expensive than the other shops e.g salvation army, spca shops. Been here before. The one thing I bought was faulty and had to take it back. Don't mind paying for something I really want but if they want top dollar they need to have better quality control. Even the shoes can have the sole half worn and they want extreme prices and staff not helpful.
