The most overrated Indian restaurant in Auckland. They used to be good 10 years ago and are still surviving based on their historic reputation. The food was a HUGE disappointment. Not authentic at all and does not match the descriptions on the menu. The prawn Konkani was described as a blend of tang and spice but was super sweet and tasted like it was covered in sugar syrup and made for 5 year olds. Tandoori salmon had no tandoor flavour at all. Even when requested, all dishes lacked authentic spice and were too sweet and bland. There are much better Indian restaurants around - we will definitely not be returning or recommending to anyone. We were wondering why a place that used to be hard to get into was half empty on a Saturday evening. After having their food we could see why.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Indian food is truly the best in the world! The chicken masala was absolutely amazing — the best I’ve ever had! So flavorful, rich, and perfectly cooked. Every bite was full of spices and delicious aromas. Simply wonderful! I can’t wait to come back and try more dishes. Highly recommended!

Seriously good indian food the amount of spice they give you they don’t play and their chilli oil too makes it the hottest Indian restaurant the lamb curry is very flavourful and good with the butter naan and even the rice too has so much flavours

Visited for dinner and had a pleasant experience overall. The ambience is warm and inviting, creating a comfortable setting for a relaxed meal. While the space isn’t very large, it’s well-utilized and doesn’t feel cramped. The service was above average - prompt and courteous, though there’s always a room for improvement. That said, the staff were genuinely warm and welcoming, which added to the overall positive vibe. The food was flavourful and lived up to its reputation for authentic cuisine. However, if you prefer your dishes on the spicier side, it’s a good idea to mention that while ordering, as the default spice level leans towards mild. One downside was the lack of a high chair for kids, which could be inconvenient for families with toddlers. All in all, they offer a satisfying dining experience with good food and a cozy atmosphere. Worth a visit for those looking to explore traditional flavours in a comfortable setting.

Been here several times and the food, service and atmosphere are superb, while still managing to be completely unpretentious - friendly, relaxed and down to earth. My go-to Indian when I’m in the area

One of our favorite Indian restaurants in Auckland. Good food and good service for sure. The theme of the fit out is full of Indian traditional elements yet modern and neat. Parking is relatively easy on the street on a weekday night, free from 7pm.

The ambience and decor is lovely here but the dishes lacked flavour. The spices in the dishes were very subtle. The papadums were yummy though. The service was hit and miss depending on who the server was
