   Could not recommend this place enough. Was grateful Sepora could take my appointment in such short notice and she did not disappoint. I was so scared to get my hair done but her customer service was incredible and her hairdressing abilities were even better. I walked out of there absolutely in love with myself all over again. She took one look at my reference photo and knew exactly what she was doing which was so refreshing. She gave me a new found confidence and I am so grateful for her skills and being able to support a South Auckland business! Ngā Mihi Sepora!

   I am very disappointed with the work at this salon. I booked in here for a blue balayage but when we got there the salon had no blue dye. The lady doing my hair had to go and buy one of those cheap ones. Instead of turning out blue my hair came out with different streaks of blonde with an electric blue. I’m honestly saddened because it’s advertised on your guys instagram, if you were unable to pull it off It would’ve been okay to tell me. I’m just disappointed as I sat in the chair for 5 hours just to get what I didn’t want. Not just that but the deposit to secure your spot is so overpriced. The lady did want me to come back in but I honestly don’t want to waste more money than I already have. Customer service was lovely however but the hair professionalism is low.

   I had virgin hair and wanted to go copper, they said they could make it happen but messed up and I left with horrible hair for almost a week, I went back and had to go dark brown to cover the orange. My wedding was 3 months before this appointment and it was so bad I had to box dye my hair black & now my hair is ruined. It’s snapping and is so stiff Mind you I paid $250 for this….really don’t recommend this place

   I made an appointment at 3pm to get haircut but I went in around 2ish. The ladies there were very welcoming and they didn't mind. Sophia then came over and took me to my chair and started on the process. Later on Sephora came and took over. I am usually nervous whenever I go to get a haircut because it never really goes the way I wanted but, I was very happy with her service at Halo Hair. Not only she was friendly, she listened to what I wanted and even gave me tips on how to style my hair later on. The compliments I received afterwards was a highlight as well.

   Unhappy with what I received. I visited here in May, to try achieve my dream hair colour after seeing people I know have a positive experience here. I paid $500 hoping to get my dream blonde. I arrived at just after 9am, and left the salon 6 hours later. I was left on the wash bowl for over an hour, in which my neck was hurting, and I woke up the next day with a bruise on the back of my head. I really wasn’t happy with my hair. I was happy at first as it was an instant change, but later that day I noticed I really disliked the way my hair was dyed. I messaged letting me know it wasn’t what I was after. I was advised, already have paid $500, i had to pay an additional $280 to get what I wanted. I was shocked. This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with my hair, and I held back from leaving a review as the staff were lovely. However my regrowth was horrible, it was a band, exactly what I asked them not to do. I went back to my original hair dresser yesterday because I hated my hair so much. They were shocked at what had been done, they said it had been a really bad job done on my hair, and it wasn’t done properly, and looked rushed. I got my dream hair last night for half the time and half the price. I’m upset as I paid such a high price at Halo ($500 the most I’ve ever paid) and was told I had to pay more to achieve the look I first asked for. I won’t be coming back here despite the lovely staff, the service was very poor.

   My first time with Halo and also first time using balayage and I love it!! Service was AWESOME. Big shout out to June for making me feel 10x100 better after doing my hair! Love your work sister. My new hair salon from now on.

   Unsatisfied and disappointed, if you’re thinking of doing your hair do not go to halo hair. I asked for ash blonde, they recommended brown balayage and got nowhere near what I wanted. They didn’t resolve the issue, and only gave me the option of toning or paying more to get it fixed. Definitely unprofessional and felt rushed for the price of $480. Would not recommend it to anyone.

   I did not have a good experience. My hair got fried the cut was uneven and there was dye left on my ears and skin. Also my T-shirt got ruin from the hair bleach. I was in pain the whole time as the lady did my hair, it was a lot of tension and pulling, I can feel my hair snapping off. When she tried to take off the hair dye on my temple she did it so hard it started to sting so bad and I see my part of my skin came off. I just paid $600 just for my hair to look like a box dye. I’m very sad and disappointed with the results. This company got so many good reviews so I thought I was going to have a good experience but unfortunately they tried to rip me off then changed the price again. The staff need more training, she did not know how to cut hair or trim. She was very harsh with my hair. I’m tender headed and I tried not to cry as it was hurting so bad. After my experience I wonder if the staff has a cosmetology qualification or license to show that they are qualify for the job.
