Menulog didn't send a driver , owner went above and beyond to arrange another driver. She madesure we still got our dinner despite the mixup of menulog. Pad Thai and curry was good too.
The food is delicious and authentic. The owner and team were incredibly hospitable and accommodating to our needs. I highly recommend this restaurant. We'll definitely be returning!
This is a colourful little spot that has newly opened up. It's just up the road from where we stay so we definitely had to make the obligatory trip. The staff were attentive and friendly. The food was delicious with the whole snapper being my favourite. I have to say the snapper was probably one the best I've had in New Zealand and it comes very close to Thailand itself. The overall spice level was perfect for us but might be a little too spicy for those who don't have the acquired taste. The only minor let down was no alcohol licence (yet!) but we were assured the owners would be getting this very shortly. This means another trip to Thai Street 809 as nothing goes down better with Thai food than Thai Beer. Thank you!
Food tastes good, slightly pricier than I thought, also got charged an extra 40 cents which is the same price as the meat option when I ordered tofu, not too sure what the extra charge was.
I had quite high expectation seeing their online photos. Only to find out tonight that it may have the street food deco but not the taste. The two dishes were both heavy in sauce out of bottles. The worse one was the chicken skewer. Chicken was so hard attached to the skewer we couldn't bite off. Although the service is prompt and price in middle range, if you are after authentic fresh Thai food this may not be the place.
Love it!! The atmosphere was great. The food was delicious with nice presentation. Definitely visit this place again.
