The noodles here are amazing, the portion sizes are great. Specifically the tomato, egg, beef noodles. I also enjoyed the lamb kebabs, super flavourful. I've been ordered food multiple times and I love that is open late as well.
Closes at 2am, wish more places are open around this time. It was pretty quiet when I came here around 1am. Alot of seating, and it's great for groups. - Combination fried rice 8.7/10 It's really decent. Beef and chicken slices were really tasty, rice fried well, and good balance with the Veges. - Spicy chicken 1.5/10 Mostly bones, insane amounts of chili and schezuan peppercorns, very dry. It's not worth it unless you like eating bones. - pork and ginger dumplings 6.5/10 Sa8ce needed, make sure you get some from the self-service area at the restaurant. Basic, but they're fine.
Ate here one evening with a group and we shared multiple platters of Yangzhou fried rice and their assortment of kebabs. The kebabs tasted decent - I find they are a tad salty. The quality of the food is the price you pay. But I just want to point out their fried garlic chicken, it is levels above the other food we were served and everyone quickly ate it, the crunchiness and strong garlic flavour is addictive. Also the restaurant has nice views of the harbour for diners to see.
I don't know why they have these low rates. The food we ordered was really good overall, soft and chewy. Not sure about vibes, but still I had a good time with my friends. Everything was self-service, which I didn't mind at all.
The food was ok. This is very chinese place with staff not being able to talk English at all. The place has much more potential.
I love and adore Asian cuisine and finding this restaurant disappointing Such an amazing space, location and view so much opportunity and yet failed Not a good food , not a great service, no English speaking, sticky tables, old smelly chairs and in total not repealing Bowl of soup served on table not even in a small tray and brought by hand around the bowl The gap between 3 orders was big considering we only 5 people in the whole space Won’t go there again sorry Please make a change and use this amazing potential in Birkenhead You can be an amazing restaurant if there are desires
My friend took me there, but we were both very disappointed with the food and service there. Food is very average, small size skewers. They charged $2.5 for one skewer of mushroom, 3 pieces on the skewer, one piece is about a quarter of a mushroom. such a rip off, the pair of oysters they served, one oyster is half size of the other one. In total, we spent over 90 dollars for 2 people, it was over $80 without holiday surcharge. We have just been to another place the day before, food tasted way better, and we spent just over $70. we ordered more food, their skewers are normal size unlike this place. Service is bad too, clearly there are enough bad reviews from customers, but it didn't seem the owner cared to improve. and only looked ay closely on how to profit. Will never come back again.
My friends have been coming here for ages, but it's only my 3rd time. Service has always been bad and everyone knows. Today we were a group of 15 people. We ordered a lot but quite disappointed with 75% of the food. Meat and seafood skewers were overcooked and dry. Squid was too hard/overcooked to chew, pork and chicken cutlet were over fried, coat and meat were dry and rock hard. Fried fish was the same. Liked the cucumber salad tho. Only reason this location was selected was because of the space to accommodate everyone and the location was central for our group. I personally won't recommend this place. Their price is average but food is poor in my opinion. Lots of improvement but all the best thanks
Went with a group of 5 for dinner. Did not get our table cleared for 20 minutes, then the waiter was incredibly rude to us when we asked if we could order. Food was actually not bad, bit on the salty side. Medium spice is tolerable for the average kiwi. Prices are alright, probably need 10 skewers each to get full. The saving grace is the great views of the sky tower and city. Would struggle to get us back there with the poor service.
