   Office not manned when we arrived at 2.30pm in afternoon. waited 20 mins after phoning to get our keys. Stayed in unit 18. right adjacent to Great South Road. Traffic noise was horrendous. The condition of the unit was very basic long overdue for a refurbish. Second single bed very uncomfortable. Shower very ancient and the mixer not working. Grotty Sign at entrance said Play Ground and swimming pool could not find them anywhere. Section needed attending to lawns overgrown gardens in need of a big tidy up. Sorry guys could not recommend staying with you again

   Do not recommend staying here! We had a group that had booked to stay the week, half of the rooms had no hot water all week, dirty sheets, condoms under one of the beds, mouldy showers in half of the rooms, air con wasn’t working when we arrived owner gave us the booklet to work it out ourselves was rude from the get go and not accommodating at all. No one was ever at office if we had questions. Wifi was intermittent. All in all would not recommend and will not be back.

   WiFi wasn’t working, may have been a temporary issue. Did not report issue, as it was late. Room was comfortable, clean & tidy. Just passing through, only stayed one night.

   I stayed for 2 nights at Takanini Park Motor Lodge and had a wonderful experience. The staff were very helpful, especially the manager who went out of the way to make sure everything was comfortable. The room was clean and well-maintained, and the location is convenient with easy parking. Definitely going to stay here again in the future...

   I called Takanini Park Motor Lodge to make a booking and was very disappointed with the experience. The person on the phone seemed completely uninterested in helping me and showed no enthusiasm or care about my stay. Communication was poor, and I was left feeling like my booking wasn’t valued at all. First impressions matter, and unfortunately, this one has put me off staying altogether. Would not recommend based on this experience.

   I would give this place no stars - not value for money at $180 per night. The bathroom facilities were disgusting - the shower tray was broken & filled up with water. The water then drained out slowly seeping under the lino, iinto the vanity & the toilet area. Mould everywhere, dirty clothes in drawer, no smoke detector (found under mattress) badly stained sofa & chipped cups.

   It was ok. Advertised as having sky tv but only had 2 sports channels and no kids channels. No booklet of info in the room so kept having to go to reception to ask questions. Pretty sure I got bedbug bites here.

   Rooms were clean and adequate, but on our second stay room 10 was overdue for a new mattress..look closely at the attached pic. Milk was free for coffee etc on the first day but $2 charged for the second day.

   Quiet - cars go up and down driveway! Owner speeds through driveway. Parking is restricted and at times heavy trucks and trailers use two or more parking spaces. Hard to access entrance and exit as at all times cars restrict view as is a frequent hot spot for trucks and curb side is a car sales yard park up place! WARNING: thieves are operating at this motor lodge!! One guests car rear window was smashed and tyres slashed! Not KID friendly as advertised owner yells at children even threatens them. He has threatened my son and actually assaulted him in the process. The unit was not secure and was riddled with bed bugs!! Owner flea bombed the unit whilst myself and children were present inside!!!! I am disgusted with how the owner and staff have managed their cleaning routine sheets were blood stained and evidence of insects inside bedding!! Do not stay here place was absolutely in need of a huge overhaul. Again be aware as is the worst area of takanini and owner is not willing to accommodate visitors. The pool is not suitable for children and should be advertised as such. The garden was overgrown and the skip rubbish bin to put daily rubbish in was always over filled!! Sheets and bedding were not cleaned on a scheduled day! Meaning if you had small children you'd have to have to make sure they didn't have any naps as if bedding needed cleaning the cleaners will complain and prefer that you just left it soiled!!! Appalling but hope they will be investigated as my children were terribly scarred from bed bug bites. I have complained and hope it will be fixed as soon as possible as this place is accommodating families especially emergency accommodation!

   The staff was great the unit we got was very large and the beds very comfortable. A little traffic noise but then it is on the main road. Has a pool so that is a great thing with the kids. We will be going back there again.
