   Tara is not only an amazing kickboxer but an amazing mentor! I’ve been at empower academy since May 2023 and it has changed my life for the better! Tara has encouraged me to become the best version of myself and to keep striving for better. She’s encouraging and inspiring, every single class she brings this amazing energy and positive attitude which is so contagious! Empower Academy has helped me to become not only physically fit but also mentally fit. I love all the amazing friends I’ve made and i definitely feeling the love and support from my kickboxing family.    Tara has been amazing with my autistic child. So much so that his group class and 1 to 1 sessions are the highlights of his week. Patient, superb teaching techniques that she has designed uniquely for my son. We are lucky to have her and Empower Academy in our community.    Recently moved to the area and was searching for a boxing gym when I came across Empower Academy through a local community page. I'm so glad I did! Tara is a fantastic, passionate instructor, and the group is incredible—fun, supportive, and inclusive while maintaining a strong focus on discipline, technique, and concentration. It’s the perfect balance of structure and enjoyment. Tara is always available for questions or concerns either in person after class or via text. Highly recommend! If you want to get out of your comfort zone in a safe environment, Empower Academy is the perfect space for it!

The classes are well structured and the students are awesome.    Tara runs great classes, which pushes your fitness level from zero to (almost) hero..! Learning how to kick and punch in a super fun environment. Anyone can join no experience required. No matter what state you are in, I always leave her class with a big smile on my face!
