Bought a new chainsaw for which the sales service was awesome. Took it in 3 months later for it's free check/service (having used it twice)....the arogent kid I dealt with told me I'd waited too long (whilst not having put enough hours on it) and sent me packing. I now drive the 10kms to Sthil Mt Albert to avoid the Glen Eden shop.

A couple of years ago, I bought a Stihl edge trimmer from Anthony—fun fact, it was his first week on the job (yep, I’ve got an elephant’s memory!). The trimmer wasn’t running at full throttle, so I took it to Westgate. Their advice? “Use it as it is and book a time later.” Not exactly helpful... :| Fast forward to today, I thought, why not take it back to where I got it from? Best decision ever! Anthony and his team had it fixed within 5 minutes—no fuss, no hassle. I was seriously impressed! But that's not all. About six months ago, I bought a Lawnmaster from Mitre10. When it didn't start, I called their help desk, who directed me to Steelfort. Steelfort, unfortunately, wasn’t clear on the process and told me to take it to any authorized dealer. In hindsight, they should’ve advised me to go back to Mitre10. I shared this story with Anthony, who—true to his nature—went the extra mile. He took the mower to the workshop, quickly identified the issue (turns out, leaving it in the shed with a full petrol tank for four months had caused the fuel to turn sticky and block the valve), cleaned it, and fixed it right then and there. It took over 30 minutes of their time, and honestly, they didn’t have to do it—but they did it out of pure goodwill. The level of care, dedication, and genuine service I received is rare these days. Anthony and his team clearly put their heart and soul into their work, and it shows. I can’t recommend them enough! Thank you, team—your help was much appreciated, and it’s experiences like this that truly stand out.

Recently purchased a FS85 brush cutter and it came from the factory with an incorrect carburetor tune. Took it back to the Stihl shop and they had it running perfectly within 5 mins of turning up! They also provided me with a free 10 min training session on preventative maintenance to make the tool run perfectly for years to come. So much experience, so much skill, and just so darn helpful. Will definitely be buying my next gardening power tool from here!
