   This Inn was surprisingly very pleasant. I had a room that looked over the street, though it's on a busy on ramp street. The room was very clean, including the bathroom. While it's on the cozy side, it had a table for two and a large king size bed. The TV is a smart TV with various apps. Overall, I really enjoyed this place.

   Great location for Eden Park events with both busses and train close. Friendly hosts. Rooms have everything you need, although walls seemed a bit paper thin, you could hear your neighbor so no sleep in! Free parking. All in all value for money.

   We really enjoyed the stay! The room was very neat and clean when we checked in. We had an expo to go too and it was conveniently located within walking distance. I will also add that it is within walking distance to Newmarket and Mt. Eden!

   The hotel and the room were just fine - comfy, reasonably new, and good-looking. Location is close to Newmarket mall, where you can find a gym, a movie theater, and a choice of eateries. My complaint is with the lack of communication. I was arriving late, and the front desk was already closed. No one communicated to me how to get access to my room. There was no note left at the reception door either. Luckily for me, I found a lock box on the parking side, and it was not locked. Inside the envelope with my name was my key. When I spoke to the front desk in the morning, the lady seemed to be more concerned that the guest, who used the lock box before me, did not lock it, then with a possibility of leaving a paying guest stranded in the middle of the night. Yes, they do have a phone number on the door, but it is not connected to WhatsApp. As an international traveler, I have no ability to place local calls, so I wouldn't be able to call. Why were instructions not emailed before my arrival, I can only guess.

   From the moment I checked availability via a quick phone call, their helpful and friendly service was evident. It's not the Ritz but if you're looking for somewhere to lay your head for a night, that's safe, clean, not an emergency housing facility, and is only 10 minutes from the impressive Westfield mall & shops, then this place is value for money! And I have a Hilux with roof racks so no trouble parking in their free parking basement below (2.1 meters height restriction). Will be back for sure.

   I'll start with the not so good. The one way street makes arrival and exit a bit challenging. It would be wise to bring a small vehicle as the carpark is a bit tight, but of you opt to bring your 4x4 ute like I did, park at the far end of the carpark as I found that I was then able to reverse into the empty space behind me in order to exit. On the plus though, at night the carpark sensor lights are bright making things easier. Once you get to your room this hotel shows its true strengths. The room my wife and I spent the evening in had an executive feel with comfortable and modern furnishings a very well finished bathroom(best shower) and a comfortable super king/queen bed. The black out curtains keep it night time if you're sleeping in and you are spoilt for choice when looking at options for a meal because your in New Market! We tried the local Vietnamese restaurant. As first time users of uber eats, I was very impressed. You will be quite surprised at how well you rest once arriving to the Alexander Inn. Travel safe out there.

   I had a wonderful stay while passing through Auckland at this location. Location is great-just a short walk to the mall. My room was spacious and very clean. Lots of windows and a balcony provided a nice breeze. Hotel Attendant was very kind. For the price, not much better in Auckland.
