   Called in for a coffee and muffin recently. Coffee was fine! They charged extra for some butter to go with the muffin. Appreciate times are hard but I frequent lots of cafes on the Coast and haven't had to pay extra anywhere else. The lady at the counter was the most sour person I have met in a while. No smile for us. Don't know if she was having a bad day or just didn't like her job. Won't go back any time soon.

   Excellent nosh for breakfast, lunch or tea. Some choices available at the counter, while others are freshly prepared. Children's portions available for some meals. Scrambled eggs on toast was a winner! Convenient location with parking nearby.

   Visited especially to try the new advertised menu and collect a free hot drink by doing that. What an utter disappointment My espresso arrived luke warm. When I told the counter staff, she replied that's how the machine makes it!!! I refuted this, and after backwards and forwards for a few minutes I was reluctantly offered a new espresso. This arrived steaming hot. Great result Then... when the vegetarian meal : hallumi etc stack arrived @$21 , it was a really small amount, nothing like the photos. 2 slices of hallumi cut so thinly you could see through it,and it had dried up in the cooking process. The hummus, which was smeared decorating the plate ,amounted to a teaspoon full.The rest of the items for this particular meal was snack size. I will NEVER go here again for any food or drink. The floor was filthy too

   Wow, what a toasted sandwich, this has to be the best ham, cheese and onion toasted sandwich anywhere in New Zealand, no, just anywhere period! I asked for a little bit extra ham, have a look at the photo of what I received. I was blown away. That's what I call a ham, cheese and onion toasted sandwich, other cafes need to visit this outlet to see how a real toasty is produced. They also obviously cook the onions separately, because they were cooked to perfection, not raw like you often get from other outlets. They also make the best coffee of any of these franchises. This place has to be a must visit for a perfect toasty and excellent coffee.

   We visited after 4pm and staff was still very friendly after a long day. Was after 2-for-1 birthday coffee special but the system couldn't process my reward card, the staff went ahead giving me a free one anyways, how generous and kind! The cafe is very clean and the cabinet food selection is marvellous, will definitely come back for the keto ones. Free flow of sparkling water from the tap is a plus.

   Its hard to find a good coffee on the peninsula but Columbus Coffee Whangaparaoa has got it. The service was excellent. I had the Paleo breakfast and my daughter had Sally's Waffle Wonder she can't wait for our next DIY shopping trip. The kids activity pack was a nice touch just when I thought this place couldn't get any better.
