Great place for child's birthday party. Able to set up food on the picnic table beside the children's playground. Plenty of grass for them to run around on.
Great park for dog walking. More bins have been added, but still an awful lot of dog poo not picked up. The man that used to take care of the stream beams has passed away, hopefully the council will take care of this now.
Naenae Park is our local, the addition of the walking track is great for walking to School, or for exercise. My child likes the playground, and it keeps him entertained. The playground is suitable for toddlers, and older children. There is seating, a BBQ, a water station, and rubbish bins so it's good for gatherings/picnics. My only critique is there are no toilets, and the old playground had more swings available. Other than that it's great for short outings, or as long as the kids are happy.
Its a handy location. The playground equipment is in good condition. Caters for small children. Although not fenced off and right next to a busy road so will need to actively supervise the kids.
Need lights round park and field so can visit late at night when it's still warm out. People need to stop leaving chicken bones in takeaway boxes on the ground! Bins always full of beer bottles. Needs to be given more attention.
A great new experience with all new equipment. The kids loved it, but sadly, there is one piece that is not only extremely dangerous but totally inappropriate for kids. The double bar slide-down is virtually impossible to get up onto. And when my 4 year old was up on top (about 8 feet up!) he nearly pitched forward trying to slide down as it is so steep (see photo). So mostly a great new addition/update to what was a really old and tired playground.
