    I was deeply disappointed with my recent experience as a vegetarian customer at Wastefield Mall , Lower Hutt The same gloves and utensils used for handling meat were also used to prepare vegetables from the same compartment. Such cross-contamination renders the food unsuitable for strict vegetarians. It is essential to have two entirely separate vegetable compartments β€” one designated for meat orders and another exclusively for vegetarian orders. Staff should restrict use of the meat-designated vegetable compartment solely to non-vegetarian preparations. Merely changing gloves is insufficient. I urge you to implement strict separation between vegetarian and non-vegetarian service to ensure customers can have full confidence in the integrity of the food provided. The bottom line is simple: when staff handle meat and then touch vege is not acceptable at all.

    Went to get lunch yesterday around 12:15 pm. I must say it was the most disgusting service and sub I ever had. The girl serving on the front was utterly unpleasant to deal with. When I told her to put one line of 3 sauces my whole sub was covered in sauce. She was not even bothered to serve properly or use basic manners like please and thank you. The worst part was the sub was not even wrapped properly and the sauces were dripping on wrapping paper. Not going there again!! Huge disappointment!

    Too bad experience. I will never eat any sub from here. Too much messy subway and i ordered it online and they gave me dry sub. Totally rubbish food. And the lady who served me was to unresponsive didn’t listen my query and also argued with me like fighting. She needs to go from this store zero quality of customer service handling. Don’t even know how to talk with customer. Even she refused to provide her name. As a customer i have right to know name of person who served me. She told me do whatever you want. You are loosing your customers. Order time 4:53 PM evening on Saturday 19 july 2025

    Worst service at a sub way. Girl behind the counter was so uninterested in serving. Asked to pack a 12 inch into 2 packs for kids and the girl said extra charge for packing it. To the owners of the franchise.. your staff is driving away your customers. I asked for a contact email address to give feedback and was told to go leave a Google review.. so here you go. Never again eating a Sub at your store.

    My partner and I want a smoothie, my partner is highly allergic to banana. The smoothie options: mango and blueberry, strawberry, tropical. I order mango blueberry she orders strawberry. Upon her first sip she discovers it is strawberry banana, immediately goes into a severe allergic reaction. We make a complain to subway corporate simply saying that subway as a company (not individual subway franchise owners) needs to be aware of its advertising. I guess the complaint just immediately goes to the owner of that specific restaurant because she calls me. I immediately state β€œI know it’s not your fault, you do not control advertising or the menu” and she immediately gets defensive. I tell her I really just want a refund for the smoothie I had to throw away because it contained banana, she tells me just not to bother ever coming back to her store. She states she will now only be the middle man between me and subway corporate, which is fine. But she could have stopped at that? She did not need to include β€œyou don’t need to come back to my store” because that was obvious from the start. It is clear she does not want loyal customers but is instead so loyal to Subway that she will defend them until the end? Added a picture of the smoothie menu, no mention of bananas in sight, which was my only issue to begin with…

    Busy atmosphere, I’ve had better experience, prefer the Petone subway as they have more variety of salads to choose from, queens gates subway only have a limited amount of salads you can choose from, they are missing beetroot, pickles

    Poor customer service, went there in lunch time and was very quite there were 3 team members and I ordered cheesy garlic toastie, didn’t cut my bread properly andthey were busy in chit chatting.

    Absolutely poor service some young in- experienced girl charged me for 2 separate 6inch subs when me and my son ordered the one foot long to share She made the sandwich and wouldn't let up on charging ad a full foot long sub. And insisted that be charged as two separate 6 inch subs....So I was charged $32 for a plain chicken fillit 2 cookies and a drink.... unbelievable, I wished I walked away now, her excuse was her manager has told her to charge them up this way. Which I think is illegal the way subway is promoted as an option and a menu board with the pricing clearly stated. We will not be coming back that's for sure maybe they should employ some understanding staff or boot the manager.

    I was ordering a veggie delight and an avacado toastie. Two very simple things to make, yet it took nearly 13 minutes to complete my order. One of the workers didn’t even know what an avacado toastie was… this was probably my worst experience with subway and am never going back to that store.

    This is such a messy subway i had , will never go there , the guy at the front didn't hear any thing properly such a rude behaviour as well as the store was not that busy .
