I LOVE Major Tom. All their meat/eggs are free range and everything is delicious. I love their iced mochas, bacon & tomato quiche (when it's available), and their afghans have proper old-school icing (rather than snobby ganache)- Sometimes the afghans at this branch are a little stale though.
Just had the loveliest brunch here, popped in because I was in the area and the servers were super friendly, one guy in particular made my morning and was just amazing, didn’t quite get his name but he was amazing. French toast was great!
One of my favorite cafes on the shore. Food and coffee always consistently good. Great cabinet food and kitchen menu. The staff are a bit hit and miss. Some days I've had outstanding service, some days they look a bit lost and not sure what to do. Will keep going back for the incredible food and coffee though!
EDIT. After my review the manager emailed me back addressing my concerns and explaining other things. Thanks very much for listening and so promptly emailing me back. This business clearly listens to it's customers and makes changes for the better. Update to 4 stars.
Soft shell Crab Benny is very delicious, and Fried Chicken French Toast is yum as well! Good Coffee and friendly service.
The Good: burger had a lot of flavour and was very juicy. Came with shoestring fries. - beautiful looking food - friendly staff - interesting menu items - interesting cabinet food (but no savoury options available) come early before they sell out of most options The improvements to be made: -better atmosphere (tidy up the outside, add music, take away the dead plants and old boxes) - faster service (take our orders faster) - cleaner tables (they were sticky) - better value needed. We expected more. We quickly ate our food and we still felt hungry. For that price we expected more fries, more food. Not many fries with the burger! Most places have more fries that this. - more menu options (lots were unavailable or cancelled)
Had beautiful coffee and a lovely welcome from all the well presented food. Awesome coffee and a bright atmosphere within the cafe. They also had cabinet food and desserts to choose from. Very friendly customer service, had allocated parking for the customers. Has inside and outside areas to enjoy the meals. Recommended :)
Delicious cafe that has always delivered. This is very hip and trendy and so, appropriately, the flavours are huge. Everything is very well seasoned and full of personality, as well as plated beautifully. They will switch out bits of dishes to accommodate allergies. The service is quick and polite. The toilets are clean .. though almost offensively bright! The location is a very cool one with some parking. Usually plenty of space inside as it's really big. I have yet to try the cabinet food because the plated menu is so good, but it looks absolutely delicious.
