When we arrived at the location - They charged us an additional $100 for parking of 2 vehicles for 2 nights when i had specifically chosen this place because all 3 of the rooms i booked had parking included, I even confirmed with them in June that the payment for the Hotel had been received and that the booking was secure. She said that there was a concert and it was special policies. She then wanted to charge me an additional $20 per night for use of the single bed in out deluxe room, when the booking clearly says $10 a night. She then charged me and additional $100 for bond - Now I understand a bond - but it was not advertised.... and 4 days after check out I have not received this back. Whilst there, My husband had to fix the wardrobe as it was broken and the bathroom kept filling up with tiny little black bugs. And then to get home and find out the the Hotel told Booking.com that we hadn't arrived for the booking at all! There was 6 of us, I have photos of us all outside the Hotel, I have a conference call in the carpark on Friday morning! This whole experience has been disgusting! I have used Booking.com many many times over the last 10 years and this has been far been the worst experience! Please read my review in the image

Absolutely disappointed with the Wi-Fi service at this place. I spoke with Kate, the person in charge of the hotel, and every time I asked her, she said she was going to fix it β but it never happened. It never worked. I couldnβt work or even watch a YouTube video without constant interruptions. I ran an Internet speed test, and it showed: 4.3 Mb/s download 1.6 Mb/s upload Great parking available.

Great location on the public transport route into the city. Absolutely lovely, helpful staff. Our room was the family suite. It is out the back away from the main house. It terribly needs a refurbish. It was everything you need, however; The sofa needs replacing, the roof of the main bedroom needs a paint as looks like could be mould. Bathroom is fine. Was a good budget option for a couple and a child as had 2 bedrooms, one with a queen and one with a single. It was very oddly configured. We used the 2 provided heaters which worked well. Just touches like new curtains would make a difference, and the unhemmed material which was the tablecloth. Only 3 cups and saucers plus 3 glasses provided, so no way to eat a takeaway if you bought it home, but there was an odd wash station in the wardrobe in the single room. The lights were out except for one in several of the fixtures. Itβs fine needed a dust as had cobwebs and spiders. A bit of a mildly haunted house vibe. Lovely water pressure in the shower. Itβs fine, but basic. I believe the double rooms in the main house are in far better condition. Thank you for having us for our two nights.

Got upgraded to a bigger room which was great, had a kitchen which was a nice extra. Not the cleanest hotel and the chair was broken but overall good.

Someone tried to enter my room, lucky the chain lock was on so they could not get further. The blanket was wet and there is no heating in the room. The curtain in the bathroom one can see through at night, with a staircase just on the outside of the bathroom. The worst hotel experience of my life.

Had 3 nights booked, 16 Feb to 19 Feb 2023. Have just returned to my room which was upstairs and everything in my room had been taken!!!!! The lady owner who was about, a guy doing the lawns and residents downstairs were about also and yet no one saw anyone take my property!!!!! There is NO WAY someone would not have seen a concrete cutter, nail gun, laptop Xbox among other things being carried downstairs!!!! The lady owner was very unhelpful and the rooms security lacks, a credit card can be swiped and doors open. My room didn't even have a TV. I WOULD DEFINATELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL AND THIS IS AN EXAMPLE OF OVERSEAS PEOPLE RUNNING AND OWNING BUSINESSES IN OUR COUNTRY, THEY HAVE NO ETHICS AND ARE ONLY AFTER THE MONEY AND HAVE NO MORALS AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE LACKS TEN FOLD. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED IN THIS FAKE BOUTIQUE MOTEL, YOUR A JOKE DEVEREAUX!!!!

Stayed a total of 7 nights in two different rooms: in Dec2022 then 2nights in Jan2023. Both experiences were not great. The rooms were not well equipped for comfort stay, there was no dining table and chairs to sit for meals or to do some work, no cutlery except 2 coffee cups & tea spoons. Very small fridge, campervan size! It was worse in the room named Taj- it's huge but the room ammenities are not great, you get charged for using the other spare beds. The bed headboard made squeaking noise! The bedroom window is a health hazzard as it has no safety latch to secure them! No privacy in this Taj room, it's facing the carpark when others can see through the windows. Lightings are dull, the room is so old and dated! We couldn't wait to get out there after one night stay, but rooms were pre-booked, so just had to endure throughout the stay.. Won't consider to go back there.

We stayed in the Orient room and found it cozy with a comfy bed and lovely view. It seemed as though we were the only people in the hotel the first two nights of our stay and it was great. Unfortunately there were two obnoxious parties flanking our room that checked in on our last night. Odd considering it was a Sunday in Remueraβ¦? Being an older building the sound proofing is non existent so the other guests were quite disruptive. Though its age is part of its charm, it admittedly could use a bit more attention to detail when it comes to cleaning (dusting etc). The staff is lovely and the free off street parking is great. Unfortunately, it seems your stay is highly dependent on how respectful the other guests are. Not sure I would stay again solely based on that fact which is a shame because itβs a very nice place that Iβd recommend otherwise.
