The last time I visited was in 1986. Time has not diminished the magic that the legend Kelly Tarlton (R.I.P) created. It was a treat to be able to visit and share the experience with my wife and teenage son, who both loved it too. Recommend pre purchasing your ticket to ease the entry process. The staff did a great job at funneling people through... the line may seem long at the entrance but the crowds inside flow well.

I took 3 mentally and physically disabled children here. They had to pay full price admission and carers were free. Would have been nice if they too had some sort of discount. It was reasonably entertaining and its been a year since last visit. Nice for the children and first time adults but the place is looking a bit dated and tired and not much changes or has been changed in that time. The big overhead aquarium was pretty boring, lots of one fish, a couple of sharks and a couple of large stingrays. The stars of the place are still the penguins which are very cool- literally.

A really wonderful place. Each one of my family loved it. The fish are beautiful. The sharks are ominous. The Stingrays are graceful. The sea turtles are majestic. The lobsters are creepy and awesome at the same time. And the octopus are one of a kind. The talk at the tank was informative and a great presentation. The antarctic penguins were so fun to watch. Much bigger than I thought they were. The museum was filled well preserved items and photos of the Scott expedition. Kelly Tarlton would be proud of today's operation.

We had my daughters birthday party here and hired the room which worked out to be more affordable and we were able to invite more guests. We were allowed to do our own catering which made it even better and the tour guide was amazing. Even though we were late staff were great and polite and friendly. We felt right at home. the kids loved it! The parents loved it too! So worth it.

a nice place to hang out tgt with kids. great antartica theme, and lots of penguins that so active. Some of the facilities quite old right now. Tickets price consider quite high if compare to other world’s famous aquarium, like Singapore S.E.A. Aquarium

Took my little sister here and it was well worth it! A great variety of animals and lots of educational stuff posted around the aquarium. Would be great if they had more variety at the cafe and had more seating available, but apart from that the aquarium was amazing and I’d recommend it to anybody.

Fantastic place to bring your kids, no matter how young they are. The staff is so helpful and friendly, the animals well looked after, only the information displays and interactive things need to be freshened up. We still tremendously enjoyed it!

This was our first visit of Sea Life visit at Auckland. We like to visit aquariums. We generally take our time and many photos. Our visit lasted 4 hours. It is pleasant and the children will appreciate it, with a diversity of animation for them. My partner and I found the section with the penguins remarkable. This is the first time that we have been so close to penguins and have confortably observed them. We took best shots of penguins, even better than the one we took at Bird Park @ Singapore. Sea Life deserves a high score for this. The other parts are worth seeing but average compared to other aquariums. The aquarium is small, quickly overloaded, noisy with the crowd. It may need some renovation. It needs better education materials, to help identify the species, to describe their ecosystem. The photo taken at the entrance were not even given or e-mail to us as a souvenir for free. As any attraction park, all is made for paying additional services or else. You feel more being moren in an attraction park than a conservation « zoo / aquarium ». Note: Our favorite aquariums remain that of La Rochelle for its diversity and quality (min 6-8 hours of visit) and that of Singapore which, although small, offers huge aquariums with a wide range of fish and crustaceans together (4 hours of visit).

We had an enjoyable time here. It's a small aquarium built underground, below sea level. We spent about 40 minutes on the visit. Next to the small aquariums there are drawing paper and crayons for the kids to draw on the fish they like. There is also a small playround area for children. When you want to stop for a bit of rest or refreshments they have seats and a nice window view. This is a convenient place to visit, the entrance is on the right, the left is the exit. you can buy tickets on the website before arrival or buy on arrival. you will see the ticket counter on the inside side when going in. You should read about the history, the stories here you will find more interesting. Enjoy the moment.
