We've ordered for the first time here for a large team meeting and we're not disappointed! We had variety of veggie/chicken/beef options, from burritos, through nachos, salads and quesadillas and they were all very tasty - quesadillas being my favourite as they were huge! The delivery arrived on time which was a plus. Highly recommend!

We recently ordered catering from California Burrito in Ormiston, and it was outstanding from start to finish. The food arrived fresh, well-packaged, and right on time. Everyone loved the flavours — the burritos were packed, the tacos were a hit, and the bowls were full of vibrant, fresh ingredients. Portions were generous and perfect for feeding a group without worry. The staff were friendly, organised, and made the whole process really easy. They handled our special requests without any issues, and everything was exactly as ordered. Our nursing team couldn’t stop talking about how tasty the food was — especially the salsas and the perfectly seasoned meats. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Not anything close to authentic Mexican cuisine. Food was ok, but not even close to Mexican tasting food. However, would have not posted a review but I would stay clear from this place as the person behind the counter was on her phone the entire time. What made it worse is she prepared our food while holding and touching her cellphone, and move it from one prep station to another, and this is flat disgusting. I am not sure how they got an A rating, but that is disturbing to think you would prepare food while holding your cellphone in hand. I posted a pic of her phone on the prep table.
The server was nice, very polite man and the physical appearance of the location was nice it drew my attention, that’s why I thought I’d try it. I even texted my boyfriend super excited that I may have found a new food spot, sending him pictures of the menu and the interior. I wish I never did. I wasted my $24 honestly. If it was Ubereats, at least I would’ve gotten my refund. Instead today for whatever reason, I did takeaway, and didn’t even bother opening the box because the guy had rolled the whole bag up to go and my uber was already arriving. When I got home and opened the bag, the chicken burritos I got looked like someone shredded chicken in a blender with sour cream and seeds then loaded it on a tortilla with cheese from the ground. Then I thought don’t judge a book by its cover, try it. It was equally as bad. It had so many onions, it was more wet than saucey. Like seriously, the chicken was LITERALLY wet there (a clump dropped out the other end of the taco and I picked it up to squeeze it and it was all this wet liquid leaking out). It was disgusting. Honestly the only thing I enjoyed was the Jarritos cola. It was great, but if I just wanted a cola, I would’ve just gone into any other store.
This place is bomb! I'm from California and I honestly thought there were no options in New Zealand for authentic and fairly priced Mexican food until I stumbled on to these guys! Get the taco bowl, it's the jam, they make the bowl fresh for each order and it tastes incredible! 10 stars - will eat again! (Tacos were fire too, but the taco bowl is just supreme!)

Usually a good place. Young bearded dude behind the counter. Apparently a chicken burrito translates to a "vegan" burrito as there was zero meat. Won't be ordering with him behind the counter, needless to say. I don't have time for passive aggressive business. Might want to check your food around guys like this.
