I love my floors , they are beautiful! Customer service was amazing, friendly, and the final touches of brass trim to finish the floorβs edge was a nice detail. Even came back to touch up the floors for me. The best!

The team from James Henry Ltd recently cleaned and oiled the floors of the Old Jail Museum on Jackson Street, Petone. The former lock-up is 117 years old and whole building is built with native timber. The floors hadn't been cleaned and oiled for over 33 years, so it was in dire need of some TLC! FYI...we didn't want the floors sanded or else you wouldn't be able to see the "history" in the floors, they would look brand new. The team enjoyed being in a totally different environment and looking after a heritage building. They were efficient, punctual, and respectful. We're very happy with the outcome. Highly recommend James Henry Ltd. The team worked on our floors over Easter break and fixed our mix-matched wood, remedied the gaps and ensured the floor was flush. (See the before and after pics). There was great communication throughout the process so we always knew what was going on. We were overseas while they worked on our floors and it was fantastic to come home to a completed job. Four years after the James Henry team put in our new kitchen floor it still looks great and we gets lots of positive comments. We hesitated when choosing it because it was a bit over our budget, but very glad we said yes. And the team were great - friendly, helpful and took real pride in their work.
The James Henry team matched our floor boards nicely. They did an excellent job at repairing our broken and rotten floor boards in our bathroom. We had a long strip of chip board that they replaced with a beautiful piece of matai that fits perfectly and snug. Excellent craftsmanship with great communication.

A family member recommended James Henry for floor repair, so I was fortunate enough to see their expert craftsmanship and finishing before contacting them. Our 60-year-old wooden floor was looking worse for wear, especially after removing the fireplace some years ago. The concrete under the hearth needed removing and then that area repaired. Alongside that there were some fairly deep scratches, and many holes from previous owners. To look at it now, you wouldn't realise a repair was made, and there are no more drafty holes! The service and communication were excellent, the site was left clean & tidy at the end of each day. The timeline was clearly communicated, and they were flexible within my requirements too. The information provided prior to the work was clear and answered most of my questions. Highly recommend James Henry for wooden floor repairs. Thank you so much!
Thanks Chris for recommending getting our matai kitchen and bathroom floors oiled after previously being coated in polyurethane. Your workers Israel and Isaac did a fantastic job and took great care with our existing kitchen cabinetry. The oiled floor boards makes them look brilliant, it truly brings out the wood grain and has made the floors a much more lovely feature of our house (honestly far nicer than polyurethane as a finish).
