Such a great spot, especially being local, but the food over the past two weeks has been disappointing. The taro was drenched in coconut cream and undercooked, and the povi masima was so salty it seemed like it hadn’t been washed before cooking. Overall, the food has lacked flavour lately, which is a shame because this used to be our go-to place. Hopefully things improve soon.

Although the service is incredible and atmosphere is great too... I'm sorry to do it but the food is just not it. I grabbed some Paifala and it was thick & tasteless. Almost like a jelly instead of custard! Pork buns are barely filled and it's filled some other cut of pork. The Panipopo was bland & again super runny, not sure if any coconut is used!

Come back here after a year and foods gone downhill sorry to say. Chopsuey, lamb&pumpkin was so oily, greasy, unedible we had to chuck it out. The lamb flap, more like lamb fat. So much fatty part. The taro leaf foil pack is soo tiny and cold. Won't be coming back.

We went there on Monday to buy their small Pineapple pies! But unbeknown to us, they were old Pineapple pies from their Saturday roll out! If u r an Islander u know what a Fresh Pineapple pie looks like, and taste and they even sold it at $4.00! What a Rip off they are, Shameful and disgusting they did that to a good paying customer!! There are better shops out South whanau!!

the chop suey was bland..didn't have any flavor and the curry was delicious but mostly had fatty bones in it..didn't get one nice peice of meat and the pineapple pudding tasted like watery custard. but the pastry was made perfectly though.

A friend took me here for breakfast and it was beyond delicious! Coconut buns warm from the oven; yummy fa'ausi (taro in coconut caramel cream to die for). Massive choices of savouries and sweets, so I bought lunch to take home as well - a very hearty helping which will easily make 2 meals. It was one of the best breakfasts I've ever eaten and I will be back again and again. A beautiful little family-run Pasifika secret (with an A Certificate) which deserves to be better known. Also easy on the budget in such difficult times.

Only thing missing from here is Faiai Elegi, their keke mamoe was yum, hot and fresh out of the oven. All sorts of samoan food available here from hot food/snacks & breakfast meals like koko alaisa (Coco rice) Something for everyone to eat.
