I've been going to Genghis Khan for years, and it's consistently fantastic. Tons of fresh veggies, noodles, and a huge selection of proteins (I usually go heavy on the beef and lamb). Love their sauce bar as well. The service is always super friendly, especially the lady at the bar. Highly recommend!

This is a solid 4. The meat is good quality and the sauces you can put on pre-fry are solid. Not a huge selection, but what's there is good. Dipping sauces aren't amazing quality and tend to lean towards western options. Service for water and other requests can be fairly slow. Would be nice if the water was self serve.

We came in as a group of three, and it was just us here. The lady who greeted us had a lovely smile and was friendly. The food was very nice, sauce options very good- food can be a bit lacking but it does the job if you just want a simple meal. The bread that comes table side was very yummy. I loved the theming, wasn’t too loud. Felt very fancy in comparison to Auckland’s Genghis Khan. Thank you for your service! ❤️

The food options were shockingly limited. For a place that’s supposed to pride itself on variety, there was barely anything worth choosing from. It felt like no real effort was put into preparing or presenting the food at all. What was available looked tired, bland, and uninspired. When you’re paying for a buffet-style meal, you expect some level of care and choice, but here it was the absolute bare minimum. What made matters worse was the overall vibe from the staff – they were intimidating, rude, and completely indifferent. It’s one thing to have poor service, but it’s another to feel like you’re not even welcome to eat in the restaurant you’ve paid to be in. They didn’t care for their customers in the slightest. There was no friendliness, no effort to make us comfortable, and definitely no sign of basic hospitality. If you’re thinking of coming here, don’t. There are far better options in Wellington where your money will actually get you good food and respectful service. Genghis Khan completely fails at both. Save yourself the disappointment

If I could give this place 0 stars, I absolutely would. From the moment I walked in, the entire experience was uncomfortable, disappointing, and honestly infuriating. The staff looked moody and completely uninterested in providing any kind of decent service – it felt like we were inconveniencing them just by being there. To make matters worse, the owner literally hovers around you while you’re waiting in line so the workers can cook your food. Instead of feeling welcomed, it feels intimidating and awkward, like you’re being watched the entire time. It makes you not want to relax, let alone ever come back. The food itself was nothing special at all. For a place that’s supposed to be about choice and variety, the options were incredibly limited. Especially when it comes to noodles – there are barely any choices, and what’s there feels cheap, bland, and completely uninspired. For the price you pay, you’d expect way more variety and quality, but instead you’re stuck with something that honestly tastes no better than the lowest effort takeaway. Overall, the combination of bad atmosphere, unfriendly service, an intimidating owner, and a very underwhelming food selection makes this one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in Wellington. I’ll never come back, and I’d strongly recommend avoiding this place altogether. Save your time, money, and appetite – there are so many better Genghis Khan restaurants I’ve been too by far this being the worst Genghis khan restaurant that I’ve been too which other Genghis khans don’t treat customers like this and actually know how to serve food worth paying for

To those enjoying meat and the likes, this is the place to enjoy the BBQ especially and all you can eat. there are choices of beef, fish, chicken and also pork for those who eat them, with veggies and various delicious sauces. You will choose what you want, get the sauce, then give it to the cook who will cook it for you. During dinner, when it was packed, the queuing can be long. They also have soup and bread, if I'm not mistaken. Parking is a bit problematic as along the way there are many other restaurants and not enough parking spots in the area

As always, the staff were pleasant and a delight to deal with. The food was superb and delicious. The chicken and corn soup was on point as always, and our large party had a wonderful time. The prices for the drinks were surprisingly low and affordable. Well done!

Awesome value and tasty food. You can make what you prefer and those house made breads were the most delicious. Thank you

Family and I enjoyed our meals. Have been to others around NZ and compared to these, I had to give this one 4 stars. The food is cooked with the help of sticks which cooks fine. But because the hot plate isn't fully cleaned after, you will end up with food that maybe is not entirely yours. The options were not as vast as in Auckland equivalents but again, was enjoyable enough to eat.
