Completely unacceptable experience on a very special day I booked this venue to celebrate my baby shower β a day that was meant to be joyful, memorable, and full of love. Unfortunately, the experience was completely ruined due to a serious lack of responsibility from the venueβs management. When we arrived, no one had left the key, and guests began showing up while we were all left standing outside. I was heavily pregnant, with my car full of food, drinks, and decorations, and I couldnβt access the space I had already paid for. We waited over three hours with no response. When someone finally contacted us, they simply said they had "forgotten". They promised a manager would call to explain β but no one ever did. No one took responsibility, . I lost a significant amount of money on food and supplies that couldnβt be used, and more importantly, I lost a moment I had been looking forward to for months. I felt completely dismissed and heartbroken. What should have been a beautiful day turned into one of stress, disappointment, and sadness. I would not recommend this venue to anyone.

Sadly one of the few campgrounds around wellington. The kitchen and bathroom are totally fine but the campground is not very pretty. We (2 young women) did not feel save during the day and night. There are a few residents who were drinking a lot during the day and therefore started singing and could not walk straight anymore. They only charge this much (30$ per person) because they know there arenβt much more options. Would not recommend Hostels in wellington are not that expensive in comparison

We spent one night in our car on the campground. Quite expensive - but the kitchen and bathroom were ok. However, what really bothered us were the people - some people (apparently permanent campers) were already drinking alcohol during the day, playing loud music and we (two young women) were unpleasantly sung to. We didn't really feel comfortable and safe. The army magazines in the kitchen didn't improve the overall impression.

If your on a strict budget than this place will do, however Iβm sure there are better options in Porirua for the cost. Everything is really old and basic, and there was dust everywhere as well as the distinct smell of an old folks home in the kitchen. The TVs are bolted to the walls but the plugs arenβt long enough to reach the wall outlets???. Best thing I can say is that the showers were warm and semi powerful as well as that the bathrooms were clean despite being ancient. Have seen one review compare this place to a prison and honestly theyβre not too far off. In conclusion if you have no other options it will certainly do just fine, but otherwise itβs probably best to avoid.

Thank you for having us at the last minute. Facilities were great thanks. Toilet and kitchen available to use plus wonderful hot showers. Worth giving them a call if your in a spot

Very rude manager - demanded we pay before showing us the site, sent us to a site that we physically couldn't camp on (both crowded with other tents + too steep), then refused us a refund when we decided to try our luck elsewhere. Avoid at all costs.

If I could give this a 0 rating I would. Signage is lacking, staff ignored my wife when she got out to ask directions/questions and the facilities are in need of serious upgrades and repairs. Weeds growing everywhere with the hard stands uneven and no space. Caravans/campervans are allocated to fit in as many as they can like sardines in a can. we packed up and went somewhere else as it was no location for small kids. permanent stands are also mixed in among the casual stands which made it even worse.

Nothing fancy but has basic necessities: toilet, hot shower, laundry, kitchen area, powered site for our Campervan. The view is pretty. The manager is friendly.
