   Went in a few weeks back with hubby to get some shoes for him. The salesperson Geogia was so friendly and attentive and helped me distract my daughter, who was bored of shopping with her dad, so my husband could shop in peace. She was authentic and helpful without being intrusive or pushy, with the appearance of genuinely wanting to give good service. A true asset.

   It's a shame that Hannahs and Number 1 Shoes are now joined. First time I went into the shop looking for shoes for myself and I found it to be a maze. There doesn't seem to be specific areas where brands are kept. It's a big mix of brands and shoes. The website talks about great deals but going into the shop, there's signs everywhere saying that certain shoes/brands are excluded from deals. There isn't much opportunity to sit and try on shoes - almost no seats to do so and not many mirrors. Staff were very friendly but I was visited a few times by one person and nice as she was, I really was just happy sorting things for myself. She seemed to insist on being involved which I'm sure a lot of people are receptive to, but I find it off-putting. In the end I bought some shoes as I really needed new ones but I'm not 100% convinced I got the right ones for me. In the end I just picked something and got out of there. Was also hoping for sandals but there really wasn't much available. I hope the Lower Hutt store is mapped out better!

   I was in store today and received exceptional service. Only sorry I didn't get her name. They didn't have the NB shoe in my size but it was available online. I was unsure which size I would need and she happily found pairs in a similar style for me to try. She then took it a step further and offered to order them for me. At no time did I need to prompt her for further assistance. She exceeded my expectations...thank you so much.

   I really liked their service. I bought some shoes online but the sizes where wrong for some. Went to the Queensgate store they sorted out everything for me to get the correct sized shoes delivered to my home. Great store. Great price. Great staff. Great shoes. Will definitely buy again from them.

   Lady assistant got combative when I asked to exchange shoe sizes today, the male assistant was helpful. Probably will never return.
