   I love Pad Thai and this place has some of the best I’ve tried around the world! Generous portions, too. Fast service. And, the food is just good! It’s a simple place, nothing fancy, but clean. Love this place and highly recommend it. I’ve visited this place several times on my stay in Auckland. The food is just good!

   After 1 week of traveling and not eating a single Asian dish, finally we decided to eat in a Thai resto. This is a regular takeaway resto, mainly, serving the locals - either living around the area or on the way back from work. The shop is very mom-and-pop and the lady is patient and polite. The resto is rather open air - so in winter (like in August when we visited) it was quite cold. Food was very good; short of amazing. The standard you get from takeaway food but better. Yellow curry was not at all spicy and super creamy, the stir fry was really nice; so was the spring rolls. A bit on the expensive side, but so is all the Asian food in Auckland. Recommended!

   TOM YUM NOODLE SOUP - A must have dish here. Cooked to perfection, delicious textured noodles, generous amount of toppings and the soup had a nice tang to it. The Kao Soi is a metro voted dish, it was okay but there are better in other Thai places in the cbd. The staff was very friendly, served us with a smile and a wholesome laugh. I will definitely be back for the Tom yum Noodle soup!

   My husband and I visited Mali Thai twice within a 3 day stay in Auckland. Food was fresh, delicious, and well portioned. We also enjoyed the seating arrangement (tables located inside, but whole front was open to the outside). We had the Pineapple Chicken Fried Rice and the Red Curry with Tofu both times, both were too good not to have again.

   Had the pineapple fried rice, it was very good. Great combination of sweetness in rice. Staff were great. Takeaway & Dine-in are available in an open area with limited space(you will feel the seasonal weather elements since it’s an open dining area). Meals moderately priced and is usually the average for CBD Locations but with good portions for 1 individual.
