The room was good and clean, the space in the kitchen is huge with 3 sinks, 3 cooktops, 20+ pans, and everything you need. The only downside is that most of the rooms and all the common areas does not have windows or view to the outside, so you have no idea what’s is going on in the outside world. Other than that is a great place.
I had a great experience with this hostel. Of course is not a 5 star hotel but all the good you can get for a hostel. For the records, I got a window room, which is great although you could hear activity from the street (by the time I went, there was a construction nearby) but I didn’t mind. Free wifi, big kitchen area, free washing and drying machine. Toilets and showers are all individual and you don’t need to wait as there are like ten of them for each floor. I stayed for 5 nights. Staff is friendly and fast to respond (I forgot my key inside the room and they helped me right away) I booked using Airbnb, but there is also a direct option. Overall, a good experience!
I am surprised by the low reviews. Yes the place is not a 5* resort but give everything you need and expect. The location is really convenient: walking distance to the train station and supermarket. Room clean and tidy, with good wifi, fridge, heater and towels. The toilet, shower and kitchen are shared areas but they are clean every day. Never have to wait to use any of them. Landry services for free. For the price there is anything else you can ask for.
Very good accommodation in the CBD.Rooms are clean. Very clean, quiet, the kitchen is big and has everything you need. The staff is amazing and very nice. The showers and bathrooms are clean twice a day, same for the kitchen. The price is also very good. We are 2 girls travelling alone and we feel very safe here. It really is the perfect place to stay in the CBD. i recommend. I forgot to mention that you also have free laundry service , which is super useful!!
I enjoyed my stay here and will stay again on my next trip to Auckland! You can't find much else in Auckland for this low price, yes the place is very simple, no window in my room but the main thing is that the room and bathrooms was very clean. The location is great, walking distance to all of Auckland's main attractions and public transport. I stayed on the 3rd floor and was very quiet and has a fan, good amount plugs, towel, lamp and hairdryer.
Very good price and a nice place to stay. All facilities are super clean, the kitchen is spacious, and although there are no windows, there's good light everywhere. I'd recommend it.
Such great value for money! We didn’t have a window in our room but because of that it was really affordable. The location is great, the staff is super lovely and the rooms as well as the bathrooms and the kitchen are really clean. I don’t really get the bad reviews - it says that the rooms don’t have windows but there is sufficient light in the rooms and everything else one might need. Would definitely recommend!
We stayed at the hostel during a five days trip in Auckland. We booked through Airbnb, and got really great prices! The place is really well located, imo. It’s in the city centre, and this close to a great variety of restaurants, cafes, markets etc. The room, the restrooms, and the common areas were extremely clean and organised. I am really surprised to read other comments (especially older ones) saying otherwise. We had access to a very complete kitchen and laundry room as well. Our room had a fridge, a heater, a sink, and of course the other basic bedroom furniture, all new or in really great condition. Ted, the manager, was always available to answer any questions we had. He was very polite when showing us the place. All in all, we would easily recommend this hostel if you are planning a trip in the city. The cost-benefit was really good and we had a pleasant stay.
