   I booked a room at this hotel for my parents to stay, and it was the biggest disappointment we had. First, upon arriving at the room, we had to walk through a corridor full of dust and a very strong paint smell, absolutely awful, especially for anyone with allergies. The room is clearly far worse than what is shown in the photos. When questioned, reception used the following words: “You know how it is, you can’t really trust photos.” I booked the room for three people. On the second day, staff entered the room without permission and only replaced two towels, even though they knew three people were staying there and there were three used towels in the room. I had to call reception and ask them not to enter the room again. The hotel has direct access from the street with no security at all, especially considering reception is unattended around 70% of the time. On the last day, I called reception in the morning to check if a late checkout at 11:00am (instead of 10:00am) was available, which was confirmed. However, at 10:15am, a staff member knocked on the door and rudely showed her phone to my parents (who do not speak English) saying: “10am, checkout time.” This happened despite my conversation with reception just an hour earlier. I had to rush to the hotel to help them check out. A terrible experience. I strongly recommend looking for another hotel if you plan to stay in the Takapuna area.

   Very clean and modern rooms (freshly renovated). We had a really good sleep and all the comfort we needed. Perfectly situated if you are coming from the north and don't want to drive through the whole city. Really good value for money.

   I was booked into this motel by pn hospital as I had appointments at Radiology. When my support person and I turned up we thought we were at the wrong motel. It was extremely dated and tacky. However the rooms were excellent. It was quiet and comfy and very clean. Most impressed with the detail. Well done. One thing that would put me off using again is the stairs up to our apartment. I found them hard to navigate. Not recommend for anyone a little unsteady on your feet.

   Our family of 4 stayed for 5 nights and were made very welcome. The 1 bedroom unit was newly renovated and had a lovely bathroom and a separate seating area for watching TV. Didn't have to sit on the beds. Very helpful staff and we were able to park off street behind our unit. Short walk to main shops and beach with playground. And close enough if needing to stay near North Shore hospital. Would definitely stay there again. Chocolates were a nice touch. Thanks

   I really loved my 3 day stay in this motel. Location is great. Staff and owners were brilliant. So accomodating and super friendly. Room was large and clean. Beds very comfortable and the sky channels were appreciated. Cleaning staff were a pleasure. They did their job without getting in the way. Will definitely stay again.
